Outside of Bama (which they beat once and almost a 2nd time) they have beaten every SEC they have played lately. USCjr 5 times in a row, AU back to back, UGA, LSU, A&M. They also have destroyed teams like OU in consecutive years and shut out Urban Meyers Buckeyes 31-0 (they beat them in the Orange Bowl too). They have beaten FSU when they were really good.Honestly, you could make an argument that the final 4 should all come from the SEC. Bama, UGA, UF and LSU would be more competitive than today’s games. Maybe Clemson but we never really know how good they are because they play no one. Put them in the SEC and they’re no better than UF or LSU. Bama is going to beat Clemson by at least 20 next week.
Everyone says they'd get rolled. Well so did both these teams. Haha. I think UCF would keep it more competitive honestly. I don't know if they could beat bama but they'd look better than this. And the early bowl games are a bad representative of college football. lol give UCF a chance at least that's not boring as hell
I think the argument is that they dont get the meat grinder effect of the SEC schedule that wears down teams not stacked 5 deep like Bama.Outside of Bama (which they beat once and almost a 2nd time) they have beaten every SEC they have played lately. USCjr 5 times in a row, AU back to back, UGA, LSU, A&M. They also have destroyed teams like OU in consecutive years and shut out Urban Meyers Buckeyes 31-0 (they beat them in the Orange Bowl too). Could definitely happen.ATP I just want the regular season to still be meaningful week to week. Expansion will damage that.
BCS system was better but we’ll never go back. Only moar.
Dude it will take more than a couple of years to stack that kind of talent. If Pruitt can do it 3 straight years, with good development, good evaluation(minimal misses) and some better injury luck...then we could approach that level of talent.Alabama and Georgia could literally split their talent into 4 teams and all would be ranked 1,2,3, and 4
maybe we will be at the same level in a couple years
