You think it's 100% that he goes 7-5 this year at TN? Who does he beat? WV? yeah right. Florida? That's funny. Bama or GA? haha! no way! He lost to KY at Florida so why do you think he'd have beaten them at TN? Mizzou? He lost to them at Fl. also. We're already at 6-6 at best. You think he beats AU? I don't. So that leaves Vandy. He goes 5-7 at best imo, same record Pruitt has. But I bet he does worse because he loses to Au at least.

We're talking about 2 different rosters here. Watch how many of his players get drafted this year and then compare that with TN and we'll have this conversation again.
Lol

I know enough connected people down here to know this is not true. People on his coaching staff thought they were going to Tennessee. Then Florida came calling, and he ghosted Bermuda John.
I call bs just like chip kelly ever being a candidate for florida. Mullen was going to florida the rest is just fairy tales.

Good. We’d be better than we have been with Mullen, but it would get old recruiting in the 20s and losing 3-4 games every year and never beating Bama or Ga. that’s what we’d have with Mehlen

Well hopefully we don’t keep losing 5 games by 25+ with Pruitt.

Found out my best buddies uncle is extremely close to Yurcich and has been his whole life (I know I know, not reliable connection).

I’ll see if I can get the scoop. My buddies uncle is flying to Memphis for Liberty Bowl to watch Okla St, so they are extremely close.

And crickets!

Don't come in here with that weak sauce and just leave us hanging. 😀

I mean why are you just now coming here with this solid information. 😜

Glad to see all my fellow volunteers fans in love with Mullen....

F****** rediculous!!!

He got Mississippi State to #1 with average talent and has amazing success with developing QBs. Pruitt can still be great for us because he knows defense obviously, but he's never been a HC so it's a huge question mark.

All starts with us getting top 10 classes.

Huh? Norvell is the highest paid G5 coach, and no one outside the P5 is getting into the playoffs unless they expand it.
Not to say that they would think Holgo is worth it but Houston could absolutely pay as much as almost anyone. Pretty sure Herman was making 3 per when TX came calling and I think Houston offered to bump that up to 4 a year.

Who knows, it’s all just conjecture. Just a hunch.

Mullen is a great coach. I would have been thrilled to have him last year, but I don’t think he gets us to 7 wins either. Franks, albeit limited, is his style of QB. His success has been with guys like Tebow, Dak, Fitz, etc. We don’t have one of those guys. UF also has a bigger, stronger OL making it possible for him to run more.

As far as this year, I think we beat Auburn because of Pruitt’s ability to diagnose their offense. UF has every bit the mental advantage on UK that we do (and more talent) and UK beat them. I would have to see a coach win 7 games with this year’s group to believe it.

Whatever dude you have no idea when it comes to this stuff just like the rest of us.
Chip Kelly considers offers from Florida, UCLA; turns down Tennessee. The hottest available coaching candidate could pick from one of several schools. At least Florida, Tennessee and UCLA have made overtures or offers to Chip Kelly, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.”

USA Today.

I hope. Look, I'm not saying I don't want Yurcich. I think he's a great play caller and could be a homerun. But if he comes here and he and Pruitt don't get along and we have another Helton situation, it won't matter how good he is.
I see your point and would counter that we only assume that he and Sark get along in their proposed roles. Pruitt’s been taking his time on this decision and prolly thinks he took a flyer on Helton too quickly last year. Whoever gets the job will have had more of an airing out.

Anybody can recruit here. Pruitt has the personality of a doorknob.
Pruitt has a track record of successfully recruiting. Players love him. He recruited a lot of Ga's talent and also Bama's talent. He is recruiting great talent to TN. Mehlen would not do that. Mehlen is in loaded talent state Florida and is behind us and the only reason he's even close is because he got 3 guys from the same school a few miles down the road from UF. He wouldn't get that here.

If Mehlen is the head coach Wanya is at AU, Crouch is at Clemson, and Wright isn't even taking our calls. Lets not kid ourselves here by comparing Pruitt and Mehlen in recruiting. Jury is out on Pruitt as a head coach for sure. But he is an elite recruiter. Mehlen is not.
