Thank you. Glad I'm not the only one. Rules are supposed to maintain fairness and safety, not keep people from getting their feelings hurt.I want to go on record (without reading all the posts) and state that I do not understand what the big deal about taunting is. As long as someone is not interfering with play, not getting in an opposing player's face, not doing something vulgar...What's the problem?!
This is football. A team of guys practice practically year-round. They put their health on the line. They give their all - and they are not allowed to celebrate a touchdown?! Really? Such snowflakes we've all become.
The only people who should care if a player celebrates before he crosses the goal line, is a coach or a fan who is afraid that he might drop the ball.
Celebrating and taunting are two different things, even though they are both called unsportsman like penalties. A lot of us that are against taunting a beaten player are not against celebrating. I really don't care if guys get excited and do whatever celebration they want, if they want to make an ass out of themself, that's fine with me.I want to go on record (without reading all the posts) and state that I do not understand what the big deal about taunting is. That staged NFL stuff is stupid.Celebrating and taunting are two different things, even though they are both called unsportsman like penalties.
