And Saban said "I'm not going to Alabama". How did that work out? People tell a lie until it's time to tell the truth ;););)
I understand this line of thinking and agree with it. People lie publicly to get the heat off. Totally understandable.

But the Hubbs post (prior to last night) made it sound like Yurcich was telling Gundy and other administrative people in Stillwater that he considered moving but is staying put.

Last night’s report changes everything though. Now we’re back to Yurcich still being an option.

He also helped beat out Alabama and others to get this 4 star SoCal QB to Princeton last year. Tosh was his lead recruiter and Saban tried to wine and dine him on his official.

Who else thought that Saban dancing video that Eddie Smith retweeted was at Eddie Smith’s house? No. It was a parents only event at Nick’s.

I like how Pruitts words were taken out of context. He said that in recruiting an OC is sometimes overrated because the players commit to the Head Coach. They don’t commit to an OC who could be gone in a year or two.

That being said some players do commit to an OC or a QB coach because of how well they did at other places. But, this is definitely taking his words out of context.

Had me at Bears. 😉 Seriously I hope whoever we hire has that adaptable mindset. Too many years of “we can’t do this because _ _ _” bs.

I remember the night back in '99 when UF's Alex Brown had 5 sacks against us.
After the game, when asked by a reporter why something wasn't done to offset Brown's pass rush, OC Randy Sanders answered, "Because our offense isn't set up to blah, blah, blah." I damn near had an Elvis moment and shot out the TV. I too am sick of the excuses. If you're mot innovative and adaptable enough to draw something up in the dirt and make it work on the fly, then you have no business coaching at this level.

Woke up in the middle of the night to soon find out that I had a stomach virus. Been a rough day boys. I will save you the details but feeling better now just weak as heck. Its going around so be careful.
I was told you couldn't catch it on a message board but I'm gonna put you on ignore--just in case :p:p:p:p

Those words were probably written by Adams so it's probably a hit piece

Who are you talking to?
The guy a few pages back who said he was sick and for us to be careful because it was going around. I told him I was going to put him on ignore {as a joke} because I was told you couldn't get sick reading about someone being sick. I guess I did a bad job of explaining my thoughts :):)

After those war room comments from Hubbs I think it’s Yurcich and has been for a couple weeks. Sounds like he wanted to finish out the season and send his seniors out with a win. Respect.

I must have missed the VQ update everyone is referring to re: Yurcich. What was it?

Yes it is and a kid making a decision based solely on his position coach is foolish especially an OC or DC because the job is so transient in nature. A good one is normally looking for a promotion or more money with the way the game is now. It’s all big business and college football like we used to know and love it is gone for good.

I love the game and the Vols but like every sport I knew in my youth, none are the same. These kids now more than ever should make a decision based on the SCHOOL and thei EDUCATION because that overall has not changed. Sure, getting to the league is nice but the mass majority do not and those that do, not all have the type of success to never have to work a job again. Going to the right school and getting a good education while playing a game you SHOULD love while developing lifetime relationships should be what is valued.
