Totally agree with this format. And you can still keep the few bowl games that are actually prestigious as the last few rounds of the tournaments.If i had the magic wand this is how i would do it.
Switch every league to the same schedule 11 games...8 conference games and 3 OOC (2P5&1G5). No conference championship games.
Championship Playoff:
-16 teams
-no auto bids
-first round top seed gets a home game.
-elite 8 and beyond is neutral
NIT playoff:
-next 16 teams, same format.
That's what I thought until I tried to watch that game last night.I love all these bowl games, there can never be too much football. And I don't think the quality is any worse than any regular season games, they're just spread out so you can't flip to a different one. There's just as many stinkers in a regular week of games as bowl seasons
