Can you recap the show. I’m traveling and can not access his site
Recap: CPF talked how he takes time to analyze a situation. Thinks the University has good leadership and now stability at the top. Impressed with members of the AD, some who are now working with their 4th AD. Said they were committed to UT which is what he wants. Wants it to be a place of warmth with past lettermen and women returning for reunions and reaching out to fans. Facilities are first rate and CJP said they equal Bama, Ga, and FSU. Talked about Stokely and renovations to baseball field. Neyland is on hold as he assesses what is needed (wide range is $). Wants all programs to be successful. Football recruiting is key as have to get bigger and stronger.

Interesting note this program is taped sometime prior to Friday as ADPF alluded to potentially Getty’s recruit from NC and had 17-18 signees.

Yeah, generally they tape the show on Wednesdays around 1 pm or so for the most part. He had a good segment with Bill Justis re the bb team and said next week's show would focus heavily on recruiting

Ok all you knaves and knavettes. I feel compelled to say this so listen well and don't make me repeat it.

Volnation, specifically my recruiting forum freaks, last Christmas I was stuck without a vehicle and with no real way of getting to Christmas with my family or even fixing the problem. Y'all stepped in on the suggestion of someone else and helped me through what was an incredibly tough time for me. I want you to know that I'll never forget that lesson. We give what we can when we can and will continue to do so. But money isn't what I'm really talking about, y'all absolutely restored my faith in humanity at a time when I was as low as low could get. I want to thank you for that because faith is a precious thing. You gave me reason to believe people could be good even in this day and age and while I may grow old and forgetful, I won't forget that lesson --- ever.

So Merry Christmas, Fraters and Sorors, this place lives up to its namesake. Keep spreading the Volunteer Spirit. It's a special thing that is more powerful than a lot of us realize until we receive it. I hope that each and every one of you has a wonderful Christmas. Y'all may be a bunch of rogues but you're still family to me. You're good people (now I'm gonna go pretend I didn't actually type all of that).
Well said Prof. Hope you and your family and all of volnation has a very merry and joyous Christmas and a prosperous new year!

It’s darkest before dawn!

And joy comes in the morning. 😭 I’m overjoyed to say my son’s temperature has come down!!!! Praise God!!! He looks like he’s gone through hell though and has developed a nasty little cough.

Hopefully it stays down. No small thing what you guys did to pray for him. My deepest thank you, my friends 🙌🏻
Scariest moments as a parent are those things like severe fevers that we can’t control. Our oldest had a fever when she was about 2 that spiked so fast it caused a seizure. It was the most scared I’ve ever been as a parent and took us a while to not be scared every time she fevered. We get so scared in those moments of feeling helpless, but then the moment comes that it passes and all is ok again. Glad to hear that this moment is passing for you!

Ah, parenting.

Yes good sement with Justus but they talked about the game yesterday. Probably taped at different times

Went to early church and now back home for our family Christmas to accommodate the kids' works schedules. So I turn on The Sports Source for lack anything better. Oh my. They are so sharp they did not even catch that the high number of offers given to recruits was a total from not only CJP, but of Butch as well. Their point being that UT is going to mess over all these recruits knowing they can only take 25. Then they sound the every present alarm bells about the OC and CJP's "overrated" comment.

Forget that CJP is delivering a great, program changing class after 4-8 and 5-7 seasons. What a bunch of certified losers. Knoxville sports media stinks. Which is why CJP ain't sayin' nothin' about no stinkin' OC. Aight?!

Cbs Sports got us numero uno..

I agree with this reasoning. Vols #1 regardless of an overtime loss to Kansas.

So the Vols are the new No. 1. And it's not hard to justify because Tennessee's resume consists of that neutral-court win over Gonzaga with the lone loss coming to a full-strength Kansas team on a neutral-court in overtime. The Vols' nine other games have all been against unranked schools, and they've beaten each by double-digits -- which makes UT the nation's only team that can check all four of these boxes:

  1. Has a win over a school in the top 10 of Sunday's Top 25 And 1.
  2. Has zero losses to teams ranked outside of the top 10.
  3. Has zero losses in regulation.
  4. Has nothing but double-digit victories over unranked opponents.
Nobody else has a resume like Tennessee's.

If there are any brothers and sisters up right now, please voice a prayer for my 4-year old son. He’s on day 4/5 of a high grade fever. I’m nervous now, I’ve never seen a fever this high last this long. Doctor ruled out strep and flu on Friday. Called it parainfluenza. Wife and I feel helpless. I’m on the verge of breaking down. 😔

Thank you.
Prayers sent. Nothing worse than your child suffering.

In fairness, there are areas of Kpt that do smell like an armpit, although it's much better now than 30 years ago. That might have been a significant factor in our decision to live near Johnson City.
I can admit that. Between Mead and Eastman the odors could be unpleasant. 😏

Happy for your family! Glad you were vulnerable & trusting enough to ask for prayers!

Got you in my prayers Engineer. Been through something very similar. My son was about 6 and he had the same thing happen around this very time of year. We eventually ended up in the hospital on New year's Eve and it finally broke that night.

Keep him hydrated I think the fluid IV's are what helped my son.

I got two kids with the regular flu right now.

My son, who is 4 now, had this type of thing a couple of years ago. Doctor called it a fever virus. There are no other symptoms. It is a tough situation, but it has to run its course. Hang in there.

My family had something like this run through all four of us a couple of years ago. Started with my daughter, then my son, my wife, and last me. High fever, lethargy, no other symptoms. Lasted about seven days.

My son had it the worst. He had to have cold baths a few times with his high fever, but thankfully that was the worst of it. Really strange illness.

Glad he's better, engineer.

Awesome. Don't be shocked if he doesn't keep it longer than it seems possible. Fluids fluids fluids.

Thank you! I'll never forget what my friends here did for me, whether you prayed, spared a thought or whatever. It reminds me every day to help whoever I can. And you know what? That's one of the best feelings in the world, There really is something to being mindful! We all need help every now and then and my policy is that I don't need to hear a story I only need to know that you're in need.
