if you resign you are not under contract and dont need to be bought out, he just reupped a couple weeks ago

If his contract isn't up, he can resign, but can still owe a buyout under the contract. He can't just completely cancel the contract by himself, or there wouldn't be a buyout.

I think we will know by New Year's Day. Sarkisian's last game with the Falcons is next Sunday. I believe he will be the choice. Just my opinion of course.

Dodgers are unloading all those mega salaries they took on in hopes of buying a World Series. That penalty tax for being above the cap is also killing them. The Yankees finally learned that lesson and are now below the cap for the first time since it was instituted.

Yes, it was a really good deal for them as well since the cleared space. It opened up $30 MM to go after Harper f they want. They will probably clear another $20 MM after next season. So they could go easy this off season and really hammer the FA market in the next one. I like win-win trades like that. Reds get competitive this season, which was a transition year anyway until the strong prospects coming up are ready.
