Off topic. Check out the mega trade the Reds pulled off today with the Dodgers.
Dodgers are unloading all those mega salaries they took on in hopes of buying a World Series. That penalty tax for being above the cap is also killing them. The Yankees finally learned that lesson and are now below the cap for the first time since it was instituted.

Man playing this team is like death by a thousand cuts. 6 min left in the half this was a 1 possession game.

6 min in to the 2nd half and you're down by 20.

A lot of weapons. Try to take shut down a couple of weapons and their are 2 more who can cut you to pieces. And you have great coaching, strong leadership from Admiral and Grant, and the team runs with maximum efficiency on both ends of the court most of the time.

I actually think the team is best defensively with Bowden on the floor rather than Pons. Pons is obviously a freak of an athlete and is long with bounce so can block shots and rebound in deep, and can cause problems when he guards outside shooters with his length, but he hasn't perfected his defense yet. OTOH, Bowden is a lock down defender and can really shut down the opponent's outside gunslinger. He also has some hops, and will get his share of rebounds for a perimeter player, and you want him on the floor in crunch time because he is a good FT shooter, certainly better than Pons. And he is a more consistent 3-pt shooter right now. Certainly I like Pons' upside as he continues to develop a consistent shot and gets better on defense.

For anyone interested I did some digging on how many blue chips remain available after the early signing period.

As of today according to the 247 composite there are 380 blue chips in the 2019 class. 316 have signed LOIs, 33 are uncommitted, and 31 are committed but unsigned. 16 of the 31 committed but unsigned are committed to SEC schools. Of the 33 uncommitted the crystal balls favor SEC schools for 12, TN for 1, Bama for 2, FL for 2, GA for 1, LSU for 3, A&M for 1 and USCe for 2.

Remembering the Bryce Thompson steal from last year my fantasy is that we hold onto Wright, somehow swipe Bogle from the struggling Miami class and wrestle To'oto'o away from the gumps. Add a couple of transfers, say maybe Hurts and Phillips, and let's ride.

Well...yeah.

Speaking of Bryce Thompson, wouldn’t mind seeing us find a way to bring Jamario Holley in. Same situation as BT - talented kid with academic issues. Didn’t make it in usc’s class.
