It was done in protest. The opinion was it was unfair to the 19-22 year olds to collect the various opinions of the team into one location. Someone else should maybe try the same type of poll for any other questioned position group on the team. I have exhausted my desire to create on my first two actual thread starts.

Pretty bad. I’m no OLine expert, but I think the consensus was our guys were too small, we had no depth and missed too many assignments. Hopefully they’re spending their offseason at Shoney’s and the weight room.

For the past couple years I come to the end of our season (UK / Vandy game) and I say, "Thank goodness this trainwreck is over.....I'm ready for the offseason." Then I see fans on here like the OP and I think to myself, "OMG I hate the offseason, please bring back football so these threads will stop." #didnt even make it through the bowl season

Voted bad in both polls. O line was bad, but its not the only reason JG struggles.

Of course it is. JG and the Oline both had things they could improve a lot. OP is looking to validate why everyone is hating on JG and blaming the Oline was the next logical progression.

Oline was reprehensibly bad at run blocking with a 30+% stuff rate, barely above 50% power success rate, and sub 2-yard line yards, and marginally bad at pass blocking if you measure using the passing downs sack rate as a metric.

Interesting. Both are simply opinion polls with no prompting nor criteria for votes. The only ones that have made comments like yours are the ones constantly bashing the team. For the most part the discussions have been very good on all counts. The polls were not necessary, but neither was it needed for any individual to read or post to it.

Hope you didnt take that the wrong way. I certainly don't bash the team at all IMO. I read the comments in the JG poll and saw your next OP would be OL related poll. I don't think either poll is necessary but neither is the internet, computers, or electricity but its pure entertainment seeing some of the sheer stupidity of some Negavols or Sunshine pumpers both. There is some good discussion and I enjoy taking part in it. @FlyFishnVol voted great on both JG and OL so I think that's one where either he has orange colored glasses or he's butthurt that you are posting a poll for the obvious (to him). I'm guessing its the latter based on his comments but it is what it is and he is certainly entitled to do it.

There was 2 games where the OL actually played what we call decent. Auburn and Kentucky. Funny how those two games were our best offensive performances and were dominant wins. Who would have ever thought that when the OL plays well, the offense as a whole plays well.

Not taking any posts to this thread the wrong way. It actually started as a way for me to generate data to prove a hypothesis, but turned into a great discussion thread. There are some non value added comments, but those will always be there. Certain posters that dislike our QB vehemently have had negative comments about the threats, but probably because they see the site doesn't agree with them.
