Excited as hell for EG and DT news today. This week was like a month on a vigorous excercise plan. Kind of annoying, and a little painful but satisfying in the end.

Really hopeful the OC search goes that way

For comparison's sake, the composite average player rating on 247 has us at 89.53. That average is higher than any class the intern signed, including 2014 and 2015. And if we land Crouch and Wright, that average is going to go up. It will not finish in the top 10 because we are only going to take 23 or so players (whereas the intern's highest ranked class total had 30 players in it) but the average per player has a very good chance to finish in the 90s. That is an A+ recruiting class. We haven't had an average player rating that high since the 2009 class.

This also doesn't take into account any ratings changes. It is very possible that Crouch gets his fifth star back after the AA game. Roman Harrison is about to be bumped by Rivals, when he is, he will become a composite 4 start, adding to that total as well. In short, this very likely will be the best recruiting class we've had since 2009.

This is great info. A couple of caveats:

Potential bumps are always mentioned but usually across the class their neutral.

This could be the worst class on paper and we could be fine. Class rank has not been our issue. Pruitt has got to develop guys.

Maybe banks does need to be on defense but that logic is a little flawed. He showed plenty of potential running to stay there. Not fumbling is a skill you can learn and develop. There are tons of examples of that. Unless his potential at lb is greater than you just develop his ball protection in the offseason and give him another shot at rb.

I would rather see banks at RB. Fix his fumble issues (some of them came from just reaching the ball out) and he’s your best RB last year imo.

So looks like Yurcich is out given his tweet yesterday. We are all connecting the dots for Sark. Makes too much sense to be the choice. Kitchen stays in the NFL. I think Cheney is pipe dream. I think we end up with an experienced play calling G5 OC, who's looking to move up, but obviously not Lebby. Can't see a decent P5 OC taking a lateral to us. UT is a high risk/reward job.
Please no. I've heard him described as 'all name, no game'. There was a good article about how the guy has failed his way up more than anyone in the history of coaching. I'd rather hire Tee, and Tee is far from ready IMO.

I believe what Pruitt was saying is that we traded this years and next years OC for 3 5⭐️‘S, 4 4⭐️‘S and 10 players to be developed later.
If he has someone on the staff who is secure enough to take the job without a contract knowing that there will be a legitimate search next year, it might be the best we can do.
