Has been since the beginning. Actually, ForkedDeerVol started talking about Russell in another thread; he was the very first one to start talking about the kid. All these other "Dyersburg" people then showed up, and it took a wrong turn, quick. All of them claimed to have info on Russell, and then that led to one them actually having an inside man, who, from the sound of it, has been sitting right next to Pruitt all week, and letting us know all the going's-on inside the "war room".

His feelings didn’t get hurt. He decommitted from Memphis after Pruitt contacted him. Auburn followed UT. Auburn has been following us on our offers. Auburn has been the scapegoat of UT this year. When we offer, they offer. Geeeze! I can tell you that he is ready to sigh with us.

What is it with TN and our instate kids? My word! Get over it, be grateful your home state school offered you a scholarship to represent your state, take advantage of it, and sign on the dotted line to be a Vol! Quit having your feelings hurt! It’s about time our instate prospects jump in, no matter how late in the process we offer, like many other home state schools’ recruits do.

I am from the Burg as well. I will roll with Forkdeer Vol. I've been hearing the same he has. Feelings are hurt a little, but the major factor is the girlfriend.

Forget the girlfriend! Probably 90%+ likely that she won’t be the one you end up marrying. Represent your home state school with pride and help restore it to relevance.

This is not a quote Tennessee football insider. This is someone who appears is close to the family and is reporting what he sees. Anyone can know a player or family member from time to time. Thank you for sharing your perspective sir.

I guess you missed the point in the very last line I bolded. That's not sitting on the couch, watching the game on a Saturday. That's crossing into the realm of none of this boards business and info the poster shouldn't be sharing here. If you're good with that, so be it....
