Getting Bailey is a great start. Usually getting a blue chip QB committed early equates to a strong class. I think there will be a bigger emphasis on securing in state kids. I bet if you asked CJP and he was totally honest, he regrets slow playing some of the in state kids this year. Probably his biggest misstep so far in his tenure.

We'll just have to disagree on the experience thing. A coach with a lot of experience would have a longer leash with Pruitt I would think. I think that's what doomed Helton. I don't think Pruitt trusted him with the offense. Also, with experience comes confidence. We need a confident play caller.

The only reason to make those comments is to tear him down. I'd rather that idiot, and you both to stop with the smart aleck, passive aggressive BS and just say what you really think though. It is BS.

That's all hypothetical though. And I get not wanting to put faith there. We haven't seen it work at this level. It might work wonders though. I keep thinking about Joe Moorehead and the gamble James Franklin took on him. He was an older, experienced coach, but from a lower level similar to Osovet. Made Franklin look like a genius and it saved his job and resurrected that program.

If you can coach you can coach. Pruitt has had a full year to evaluate Osovet up close. If he's the choice, I'm all in. There's lots of ways to play this and be successful. I just want to score lots and lots of points.

I don't disagree with that. I think if this program was in a better spot, I think you could afford to gamble. In all likelihood this hire will either make or break Pruitt. I don't see how he survives another Helton. He got a free pass on that one. The next one will probably cost some money to get rid if it fails. Pruitt has to show improvement each year. A failed hire on another OC does two things, sets the rebuild back and it will make it harder to hire a proven OC next time.

Helton's playcalling is what doomed Helton, not experience. If we were scoring he would have been fine.

So you don't think his lack of experience affected his play calling? Do you think if had had been in more situations in the past it would have given him more to draw on to play call better?

No. I don't. He has been around long enough. He just was not good at it, and yes he had some serious handicaps to work with but he did nothing to mask them.

You know the falcons offense has been one of the better units in the league despite having a lot of injuries and shuffle on the OL and losing their star RB all year.

Just got a text from a VFL that I didn't know was in my fantasy league. Cheap dude wants to spilt the winnings as we are both in the finals. The payout is 1110/500.

You guys know I like to gamble and I have Melvin Gordon coming back off injury and picked up Derek Henry last week. I want to gamble instead of splitting but I liked this dude as a player


Be the nice guy and split or tell him to screw off?

Im splitting with the other guy in my championship, payout is 2400/800...we split and we both get 1600. I have Melvin coming back too but he has Zeke. We are good friends so it felt right to just split it and have fun. Winner still gets their name on the trophy.

It really isn't about the money for me.

I think you didn't correctly interpret the intention of his post. He's trying to get an early jump on which c/o '20 guys to get up his hopes about, only to receive a Mike-Tyson-esque uppercut to the cajones on both the December and the February signing day.
