“There’s always a little twist to the story from the other side that puts doubt in their mind,” Fisher said. “’No… that’s not true. You’re going to do this. You’re going to do that.’
“Some of it is gamesmanship. Some of it is unnecessary and ridiculous because it is trying to trick a kid. I think you have to give them the information so they can get their future set.”
check this out between 4:50 and about 6:30
Jimbo talking about Calzada after Justin Fields left Ga
The "tryin to trick a guy" comment... maybe thats why Fields is leaving now
Anyway, thought it was interesting... seems to point to 2 diff strategies, one long term and straight up, the other a little diff, both successful in short term
They said what anyone with a functioning brain already knows. This is a floundering program without an OC, haven’t signed our whole class, and yet we’re still 15th in the country. We’re about to add a stud running back tomorrow too. Anyone whining about this class is 1) a miserable human being 2) extremely short sighted or 3) both. Things are going the right way. We just have to be patient and stop saying “but but we’re tennessee!”
We’re on a 3 game losing streak to SC and Vandy. Mizzou has blown us out twice and probably will next year too. And we’ve got a guy that is being a head coach for the first time in his career. In time I know Pruitt will get this right because he’s only been a part of winning. We need to let him build this program up. Took Majors many years but once he got it going we won championships.
In the meantime we can enjoy what rick Barnes is doing for our basketball program
Great post. I will repost it here, in case someone didn't see it. I've been reading the recruiting forum a long time, and Atlanta is legit. So was Skeeter, and neither of them are/were 100 percent. I don't know anyone who is perfect, not LWS or deerpark -- maybe that one guy who use to always bring the bad news, but what happened to him?Let me say this about @Atlanta VOL or any person with sources inside the program, they are getting information from administration inside the football program or coaches. They are simply relaying what they are told by these people. If someone tells them that a certain player has committed and the player is lying or changes his mind, then that is bad information. The difference in what Hubbs and other media report is they have sources from the other side. They have relationships with the players themselves or other media associated with other teams. That's why you hear them say "Both staffs have a degree of confidence." That's where a player or people close to the player tell them one thing and they player or people close to the player tell another staff the polar opposite. Hubbs, Callahan etc. have multiple sources to backup what they hear from inside the program. That's a luxury that AV and others like him don't typically have. They are hearing one side of the story. Y'all seriously need to either understand that things change and these insiders my not be right about everything because things change or just place them on ignore and don't follow them. With the new version of the ignore feature, you don't even have to know they've posted. One thing for sure is no one needs anyone telling them who to believe and who not to believe. If you think someone is a fraud, that's fine. Leave it up to others to determine the credibility of any supposed insider. Quite frankly it comes off as childish and immature.
