Cultists have little tolerance for outsiders who question the faith. BTW, as a longtime mostly lurker, IMO AV has connections and is a good guy, but misses on things a LOT more than 5% of the time. Not necessarily his fault, and I don't blame him--I'm not sure Pruitt himself could be right about what will happen with recruiting and other things 95% of the time. AV's cult-like followers, however, are very amusing.
The 95% is an inside joke that isn't related to Atlanta Vol

Should have Known, been here for years, seen a lot, I am not bashing or did not mean to stir up the RF. I remember the Gruden threads and know he is well connected, Sky Box Seats and he does good deeds; hits and misses like all of us, but all the connections in Volnation does not equal 95% by no means.... Like you said CJP doesn't even have a 95% accuracy Rating....

Definitely not an outsider just a curious poster on here for 10+ years....

i think that's what they have to get better at. and while i admire the effort for going after a bunch of players committed elsewhere, it's not a reliable strategy to implement regularly.

there's something missing on the front end of the recruitment of those types of guys (some of which may not be able to be fixed until we show more/better results on the field mind you) that needs to be fixed. and they have to get better on judging when to move on. there were other DL and WR out there that we could have put more work in to, and didn't.

they did the exact opposite on DB though. they cast a pretty wide net, and worked the list. and wound up with a really good class when it's all said and done. with OL, i think getting lampley was probably pretty easy lol. but they zeroed in on the 2 they wanted and didn't let up. they were able to fill needs with CA and MM, and had some lee way considering the work already done on Wright and Morris.

don't feel like they followed either of those paths on DL or LB.
Delicate balance. We rode Butch on offering safe instead of going home run.

All this fighting over Atlanta Vol is ridiculous. Either you believe he's who he says he is, or you believe he's a troll. If you believe he's a troll, then put him on ignore. You have the option to see what he's saying or not. Arguing over his accuracy is pointless.

Here's the thing, I've said it before and I'll say it again...take everything with a grain of salt, stuff from AV, Hubbs, Callahan, everyone. Enjoy the show and realize recruiting is fluid, things change DAILY in this game. Sure, you can be upset but that's a YOU problem. That's not on AV, Hubbs or me. YOU allowed yourself to get upset today. Not the recruits, the reporters or the insiders fault. I'm not upset because I enjoy the ride and know things change all the time in recruiting. I enjoy the ups and downs, happens to every team and every fanbase. We are not unique in that sense even if we think we are.

Am I bummed that we didn't sign Figueroa and Eboigbe? Sure I am a little but they weren't on the commitment list so I knew they were long shots and I remember we still have Wright, Gray and Crouch and others to finish off the class.

This Ron - I enjoy the roller coaster of recruiting - and I appreciate the fun, the excitement, and the Oh nooooos! It's why this is my favorite place to hang out. I love the overall optimism and forward thinking brought here. And as disappointed as some may be that we didn't land a couple of the potential flips, we'll all be back at it again next week - some of us hanging on to the bar for dear life and some of us with our hands in the air! Go Vols!

It doesn't require faith to believe in something confirmed to be true. Many on here know AV and know that he is real. Is defending him against the random-of-the-week that insists he's a troll a cult act? I don't feel it is.

And to be honest, I like him far better than those who attack him. They can leave and won't be missed.

Let me say this about @Atlanta VOL or any person with sources inside the program, they are getting information from administration inside the football program or coaches. They are simply relaying what they are told by these people. If someone tells them that a certain player has committed and the player is lying or changes his mind, then that is bad information. The difference in what Hubbs and other media report is they have sources from the other side. They have relationships with the players themselves or other media associated with other teams. That's why you hear them say "Both staffs have a degree of confidence." That's where a player or people close to the player tell them one thing and they player or people close to the player tell another staff the polar opposite. Hubbs, Callahan etc. have multiple sources to backup what they hear from inside the program. That's a luxury that AV and others like him don't typically have. They are hearing one side of the story. Y'all seriously need to either understand that things change and these insiders my not be right about everything because things change or just place them on ignore and don't follow them. With the new version of the ignore feature, you don't even have to know they've posted. One thing for sure is no one needs anyone telling them who to believe and who not to believe. If you think someone is a fraud, that's fine. Leave it up to others to determine the credibility of any supposed insider. Quite frankly it comes off as childish and immature.

totally agree. it's not an either or situation, you have to figure some of this out on the fly. and it's probably a whole lot harder than any of us will ever know. especially for a program like ours that is in rebuild mode.

i mean, uga nad bama and some others, they kinda have it easy for obvious reasons.

we have to be very "situationally aware", and understand that every situation is going to be different.

very delicate indeed.
