Going to bed, but i’ll Say something before I sleep, because I know the noise is going on, even if I haven’t read it yet

Atlanta Vol does have good info, but kids lie, change their minds... and I think our friend also has orange tinted glasses, not that there is anything wrong with that. Maybe just a bit too optimistic and we need to adjust expectations a bit

Or cheat a little better/on the same level as our Rivals.

Even with the reality that the program is 67-70 over the past 11 seasons since Phil's last year, some of you don't get how good it is that CJP is bringing in a top 15 class that meets proven needs. Have you actually looked at the mix matched to need and at how all of the players have the right physical attributes walking in the door? If you don't get what is happening is much better than should be expected then following recruiting is not right for you.
i think it's ok to be disappointed that we didn't get some of the flips we wanted. but they were goint to be flips. the narrative that he can't close is false.

i do think there's some merit to the notion that figuring out when to push, when to back off, when to accept a committment, and when to slow play.....needs some work. managing that can get better.

at the end of the day, this class is going to address major needs at OL and safety. and there's nice pieces elsewhere. i think you look at Beasley and HArrison and Keyton and you probably got 3 really good football players there.

and if we get crouch, that's big for LB. and close Wright and Gray and you enhance what you have already done.

then it's about finding those last couple pieces....and signing all of our committed players.

Yep, but everyone said last year just wait until Pruitt and Co get an entire year under their belt to recruit, then we will be seeing the big fish just jumping in the boat! Wait.................................................................... NM

apparently it is looking like we are still not cheating well enough, or at the same level as AU, FL, GA, and AL, and until we do (see Nolan Smith Raptor), we will continue to cross our fingers for 6-6, 7-5, maybe 8-4 seasons if we are lucky... Our coaches can coach, but recruiting is not going as well.

I believe I remember ATLVol said sit back and enjoy the process and recruiting--- I'm not enjoying watching our rivals pick us off and pick up all the elite talent...
I think you are...gives you purpose. 😉 Otherwise you’re just bisching in a vacuum.

If we land Wright/Crouch/Gray:

2019 Pruitt
2 5-stars
9 4-stars
13 3-stars
268.46 points
90.22 average
2007 Saban
0 5-stars
8 4-stars
16 3-stars
241.78 points
87.81 average

The fact that we're coming off 2-14 in the SEC the last two years and doing as well as we are is impressive. Even Saban didn't recruit like Saban coming off of his first 7-6 year.
The 90.22 average would also be the highest for us since 2009, we've majorly beefed up our biggest position of need at OL, added some JUCO stopgaps for the DL, and have gotten a solid player at every position on the field. Use this to solidify our place above Kentucky/Vandy/USCe/Mizzou and work from there.
What are the numbers on 2019 Pruitt to 2008 Saban? That’s a bit more apples to apples.

saban signed 30 in that class, but on the average i think there was a point difference between the two, Bama's class being higher of the two.

So looking like our staff is getting trolled like muthas this early signing period based off the past month of so-called buzz... sux

So it's not okay to hope for more and feel disappointed when we don't get it? That breeds mediocrity. People can go too far with their disappointment, but it's not wrong to want better.
The bolded is the issue I have. Other than that the rest of your post is fine.

But see that is what you are not seeing. We did land some big fish, but you evidently were expecting ALL the big fish.

Nothing you're saying is groundbreaking or new...it's part of the process and with the new ESD and 25 per class limit it's not going to make it any easier. You're just a username on a forum of anonymous opinions, that's all I'm saying. Can't make it any clearer, no offense meant I'm sure you know more than me and are far more informed. I say that truthfully too, no blue font. The area I live rarely has talent that's getting UT recruitment and I don't have the time or desire to try and keep my ear on the pulse of all the possible kids that may or may not want to commit to UT.

Need that okay gif

more like the fans getting trolled. the reason they were working so hard the last 48 hours on eboigbe and others was because they knew they were long shots.

keep saying it, but all these guys we supposedly didn't 'close' were all commimtted somewhere else. we took big swings to enhance hte class. it didnt' happen, again.

the good news compared to last year is that this class as far as who has signed is comprised of CJP recruits. and it addresses two major needs in OL and DB.

I’ve been at the dentist for a couple hours (maybe a good thing?), so I missed some big stuff. I’m definitely disappointed we haven’t gotten some surprise flips, but I’m still happy. Niedermeyer stayed. Fitz stayed. We signed Wanya Freakin’ Morris, whom the VQ guys said from the beginning would be hard to hold on to. The rest of the guys we’ve signed have the size and the alpha attitude we need. If we’re able to sign Wright and steal Crouch from Clemson, WOO BOY. We’ve got some guys we can work with!
Signed, 05 post-laughing gas

Since we're all collectively retarded can we like.... never start a recruiting "who we get" poll ever again?

Predict the Vols ESD

POLL: Who's in?

Plus last year on NSD someone started a "Who we get" poll that listed 10 blue chip guys we were heavily in on and we went 0-10.

I'm pretty sure we're all delusional or these polls are jinxing us.
