I've always said you have to show incrementalimprovements in each and every facet of the program. We should see a better class this year than last and in 2020 than this year. We should see an improvement on the field. I'm not talking g so much about wins and losses (that too) but more about how we compete on the field. This comes from being, faster, stronger, and have more stamina than last year. That comes from off season work. While the strength coach is an integral part and fitz is a known commodity, if he leaves, I have no doubt we'll hire an equally qualified coach to take his spot. If we show improvement in all those little areas, Pruitt will have something to sell other than a vision. If he can recruit this well after a 5-7 year, right behind a 4-8 year, he'll be able to bring in even more awesome recruits when he has evidence to prove his vision. We shave to crawl be we walk, beat the Vandy, Missouri, and SC of the SECE, like it's a regular thing, then walk, be competitive with the elites, and then run, win our fair share against the elites. It all starts with incremental improvements in all facets of the program.
Completely agree. Sometimes I feel like we keep swinging for some grand slam and failing to simply get on base

Will be interesting to see if we let everyone sign tomorrow that wants to sign tomorrow. If we take all 16 current early signees (assuming Beasley decides to sign early) plus Gray on Thursday and a WR, then hold spots for Wright, Crouch, To'oto'o and Harris (assuming he clears academically), the class is full. If the coaches think we're close on other top targets or want to leave more spots open to see who's available in Feb, they'll need to hold off letting some guys sign early.

Don't forget LB Chris Russell. I think we need him also.
I think Antontti going on Medical got us back to 23 schollies for 2019 so we could also fit in Russell.
I would be super happy with your list + Russell.

Henry and Clemons aren’t signing tomorrow and I don’t expect them to be apart of this class, so there’s two available spots.

They're not included in the 16 I referenced. We have 4 current commits not signing early (assuming Beasley does)-- Harris, Henry, Clemons and Cox. There's unlikely to be room for the last 2-3.

We don't get Antonutti's spot back. He counted against 2018. The coaches do seem to like Russell. He could be a take if we don't get To'oto'o or Crouch... or if we don't take one of the current 16 early signees.

How risk averse do you think the coaches will be if they aren't 100%? Are there any guys more vulnerable simply because of position?

Couldn't we count one of the blueshirts we were counting against 19 against 18 since antonutti's didn't get counted? The article earlier seemed to suggest that.

I think it depends on how many hard no's we've gotten. If we're still in on some big targets, I'll be surprised if they let all 16 sign tomorrow. It's interesting, because the guys who think they could be on the bubble tend to send in their paperwork first thing to secure their spot. So I'll be curious to see how the coaches manage it.
