@butchna I agree with your line of thinking, I think Pruitt wants someone to come in and mentor Osovet on practice structure and maybe gameplanning more so then maybe playcalling I think Pruitt wants to be as hands off on offense as possible probably just not a hundred percent confident into turning everything over to Osovet so early

The man has been a head coach, it's not like he just fell off a turnip truck.

Sarkisian is the recruiter Pruitt needs at the OC position. He's who I'm hoping for at this point.

Me too. He’d be around for awhile imo. Bet he wants something stable and not so hungry for his own HC gig with his recent history.

I still believe Pruitt wants to promote Osevet in 2 years after he works with an established, successful OC. Which is why someone like Sark, Yurcich, Briles (Not now obviously) would make sense.

Nah. Just hard to find an OC that is agreeable to not bringing in some of his guys. This is the "fit" that they keep Pruitt is looking for. Sark fits the bill. As well as Canada.

Man, hate to see some of the 6-6, 7-5 teams from G5 conferences going bowling, and we are stuck at home because 75% of our schedule was top 25 teams.

I posted, a few days ago, about the Doug Matthews podcast last Sunday. He talked about some very successful coordinators at Tennessee who were no name guys when hired. He also said Pruitt already had his OC and was just waiting to make the announcement. This looks like a connect the dots kinda thing. Personally, I hope Pruitt gives Osovet the job. He convinced Joe to leave a very successful head coach position to come to Tennessee so he must believe in his abilities.

Easy statement, i talked to the best OCs out there and i just couldnt find anyone that matched the innovation Osovet brings to the table. He is ready to unleash the Bolt.
