Refs are treating this game like it's crips vs. bloods. I get that Memphis hates us but Memphis doesn't register with 75 percent of Vol's fans.

Did they? I just remember Boise but I didn't really pay attention to FCS so it's very possible. E. Washington's doesn't look nearly as garish. It's not what I'd want but it doesn't make me want to poke my eyes out the same way Boise's turf did.

I don’t think Penny’s style will ever get them far in March. There is not a lot of structure there. He can recruit all he wants, but there has to be some structure and discipline in there. They have none.

Hard to really evaluate our defensive performance. Our zone was really poor at times, but with the refs calling everything, we clearly had to change how we were used to defending.

memphis’s Freshmen played how I expected, but their veterans played a lot better than expected

Maybe. But Memphis vs. UT games have always meant more to Memphis fans than Tennessee fans. I enjoy them because Memphis brings the heat and that in turn gets us excited but the rivalry hasn't been maintained enough to feel like one and without football it's gonna miss most UT fans. OM is a better rival to Memphis than we are and I hate that because Memphis is still OUR state but it's true.
