He won't wow you maybe, but good solid hire for sure IMO...maybe even great if he gets enough talent to work with. I don't think he would be dumb enough to run off left guard on first down 80% of the time. Not a flashy guy, but knows his craft.

Seriously though..I think we can look forward to always having a good solid BB team as long as Barnes is here.

Barnes has always done better when has a core of veterans mixed in with an occasional star. Started landing too much of the latter in his later seasons in Austin. Silly as that sounds, it affected that dynamic. He took his hits the first few seasons but instilling team fundamentals and plain old coaching/teaching up the talent has us with this season.

Well alright..You were right about Helton, but I still say nothing you call will work when players can't execute the simplest plays in the play book correctly 90% of the time...

That is also true, even if you wont admit it.

The next guy won't be running some fantasmagorical scheme out there that magically works with no blocking whatsoever either..

I just hope the Unicorn knows how to mix it up a little better, and be less predictable.

I hate the love fest on Hardaway. They are showing him in a split screen with the game actually going on. They don't show Barnes that way. And, I don't want them to. I want to see the game not a promotional recruiting presentation for CAH and Memphis. Stupid ESPN. He was a great basketball player and will be a great recruiter but he's getting his tail handed to him by a veteran coach. He has a ton to learn.
