Hey I read the Wikipedia article about it too! Seems you read it pretty selectively, though. It was an option that wasn’t. They had something that wasn’t readily employed...so they didn’t generally use it. Eligibility for the draft for players out of high school was as new as 1989...so 5 years later they threw up SOMETHING.
This bolded part is false and you’ve provided nothing to back it up. There are records here going back to at least 2010 on the accuracy of the advisory committee. We have different memories...like we did with Terrell Owens Combine 40 time.Allz I know is that it wasn’t a THING that was used by uncertain NFL candidates until 2013 ish and it was so rampant that it’s only available to 5 per college team.
Sounds like you were a s****y draftnik, then. Because you’re wrong here. Mind sharing any links you googled that show the NFL advisory board “wasn’t a THING that was used by uncertain NFL candidates until 2013 ish”?I was a passionate draftnik since the mid 80’s but that’s waned the last few years...so not that long ago. I googled to be sure of the date and that hasn’t changed.
Ooh look an ad hominem attack. Lends great credence to you not caring and definitely distracts everybody from the fact that you’re too small and lacking in humility to just admit you were mistaken.I give a crap about “appearances” or “looks” and even less about you. So you let me shift my goalposts and I’ll let you carry on with your Chattanooga bus crash comedy tour...k?
I could ask him lol. Probably won’t get a good answer though and I may feel a bit stalkerish doing it lolGotcha. He has a decent offer list and one OV to Alabama. Looks like he is being recruited for TE and has the size we need. Wonder if that means we are either trying to add another body that won’t take a spot or getting rid of one of our TEs this class to recruit a different spot.
When did he take an OV to bama? Do you mean Unofficial?Gotcha. He has a decent offer list and one OV to Alabama. Looks like he is being recruited for TE and has the size we need. Wonder if that means we are either trying to add another body that won’t take a spot or getting rid of one of our TEs this class to recruit a different spot.
ND has to be undefeated and they haven’t made that an annual event. I’m no Fighting Irish advocate, but the NCAA seems to be playing it straight with this one. They played a national schedule and won every game.I agree except the process is overly subjective until it's not. IMO they created a playoff that assumes all P5 teams are on equal footing when they are not in reality. ND's path is so easy it's silly, but that's the nature of how they have gamed the system and the powers that be allow it. Okie plays in a no-D conference. That's like Loyola of Marymount in the dance back in 1990 - until they ran into the real best team in UNLV.
Your point is exactly why I think it has to be 8 teams to get closer to being fair. You throw ND in there with Okie, then UGA enters into the picture and more times than not beats both. We can see that is the likely reality, but it makes no difference in this system.
