Console players 😂

This console player enjoys sitting super comfy in a recliner with an adult beverage in the cup holder enjoying my game on an 80" 4K, which I can also flip over to a football game. While I realize that you can probably do that with a PC, I'm sure it is far more costly and far more effort than I want to go to.

Jeremy Pruitt is so mean. He’s the only coach who yells at his coordinators!

Oh wait

I don't think Pruitt was in the wrong. I think Helton was a bad fit.

Saying he micromanaged him doesn't mean it wasn't warranted imo

The only time I saw him chew his tail out was on the screen pass that should have been a pick 6 before the half. I don't know if it was a called screen to the WR or JG read it wrong but it was a terrible call given the situation. As an OC you better be prepared for a chewing on that one.

(Chris Farley)---- Remember that time that we were in great and there was a ton of hype and buzz on a bunch of GA, AL, and high-tier recruits, and they were leaning our way and folks and media were saying watch out for TN here? Remember that time? Remember?....................................... that was awesome....

No OC and now the feeling Pruitt is whiffing and can't find one... right before early signing...

Tons of great talent coming in this weekend, which is awesome, I hope we can close on some of these kids, because the Marshall, Pappoe's, Nolan's, Eb's, and others have moved on... Need to pull a miracle with Crouch and To'oto, and Wright...
Any new word on Haselwood and Bogle?

I’m just saying I don’t think Helton is going to have a problem saying he didn’t like being screamed at in public multiple times and being forced to run a dumbed-down version of his offense - which wasn’t successful at all - and then being blamed for it.

Pruitt was able to handle Cns screaming at him in the sideline. Helton looks like a little West Coast wussy. Should’ve never been hired.

Why would he care about burning bridges for a guy he didn’t get along and disliked enough to take a huge pay cut to get away from? He has no reason to protect Pruitt - and he’s telling the truth to people who call him. That much is clear.

Better be successful or no one will want him on their team.

Lewis thinks that he is picking up the phone and calling people. Not just taking calls. If true, then I guess he is willing to burn bridges
Well he was quoted in an article that was posted right here on VN that I read and I am sure a lot of others read as well, where he thanked coach Pruitt for this great opportunity and owed him a lot for the experience and all the things he learned. So I don't think in three weeks he would change his tune and bad mouth him.

Worth noting that Basilio's blog (specifically his source "Orange Throat") this morning also was saying that people are calling Helton and he is perhaps not giving the most flattering description of what it's like to work under Pruitt. That doesn't mean it's true, it means that someone is out there spreading this line to more than just VQ to get it out into Knoxville media.

Also notes that potential OC hires are asking Helton about what kind of talent he left behind on offense, and that may be the most discouraging answer of all. All the more reason we need to bring home some big fish recruiting targets on offense this class to make the job more attractive.

Depends on definition of micromanage. He pulled him down to the sideline mid-season so he could offer input, and in the last game I believe he even had a play chart.
So then the question becomes why did he have to do that? He obviously didn't start that way.

I feel as good as I could about Wright. Not so much with Crouch or Toot'toot. Haselwood is contingent on an OC and he's in Athens tomorrow so there's that. Bogle talks... a lot. We have time with him as I believe he's not an EE. I think Bogle will be targeted after ESD.

So yhen the question becomes why did he have to do that? He obviously didn't start that way.

The only reason Pruitt go involved in the offense and pulled Helton to the sideline was because the offense was a dumpster fire. Any other reasoning is ridiculous. If we were putting 35-40 up a game Helton could have sat in the blimp for all Pruitt cared. Now move on to something else.

Bogle once said that he wants to play with Ellis and Ellis is in Knoxville this weekend. Bogle talks... a lot. We have time with him as I believe he's not an EE. I think Bogle will be targeted after ESD.

I thought Bogle wanted to play with Curry?

I don’t know ultimately if Tyson Helton is a good offensive coordinator. But what I know as an absolute fact is the offense we saw this season is not Tyson Helton’s offense.
I think it's obvious that Pruitt didn't trust Helton enough to turn over the offense to him. He had his hands in it alot.

Nah, 43 feet is good when factoring in the rest of the field.

I get your point. But, that is so close. Some of those pitchers are almost unhittable and then the umps given them some latitude too. I love the game. I watch as many Lady Vols softball games as I can.

The timing of these reports are not well thought out. A big recruiting weekend, and this is the story that the guys want to put out on the airwaves? Is the media lashing out because they are not getting access?
