On the VQ podcast they said that people are calling Helton, and it may be that Helton is calling people complaining about his time as OC here. That could be hurting us

Hubbs said on 104.5 yesterday he had no idea what Helton might say or even if he would take calls on it

Listen to the podcast and you will hear that it is not only possible that he’s talking to people, but it’s happening. He may be calling people, not sure, but he is taking calls according to them

Are the saying they know what he is saying and that it's negative?

Or are they saying it's possible he's telling candidates it's hard to work with Pruitt?

I listened to Hubbs on the radio say this might be the case but he has no clue.

Mark Howard was talking about Pruitt’s demeanor on the sideline and wondering if this was a deterrent.

Yes I did, and I agree that most of the calls were for KC early on. So the make-up calls in the final few seconds are OK then? I wish that they had just let the two teams play instead of calling all the ticky-tack fouls near the end. Zebras ruined the game IMO.

Bottom line, KC defense sucked in the 4th quarter and ultimately cost them the game. I don't know why Eric Berry was not in there.

The calls evened out. Refs were bad both ways.

I’m sure he is. Just like Currie had Gruden wrapped up when he was in the Bahamas on vacation, I bet Pruitt has Sean Payton’s signature on a contract to be our next OC and he’s just waiting to unleash it on the college football world. I’m sure that’s the case.

There’s a difference between Helton badmouthing UT and honestly answering questions about his experience at UT. If OC candidates ask him about working with Pruitt, the state of the rebuild, the talent he had to work with, the group dynamics of the staff, the pressure/hours of the job and the grind of the SEC, he should give candid answers. Anybody unwilling to deal with the reality of the situation or what it takes to fix it isn't the right guy for the job. It's better all around if they find that out upfront.

Coaches have biggest egos with ER docs being close second.

Just like ER docs they think they bring anything back to life. These coaches look at Tennessee like “I can have success there and be a coach in SEC in a few years”.

Tyson Helton and his opinion would have no bearing on how anyone views this or any job.
