Doug Matthews just reiterated...

That's an interesting point.

Pruitt doesn't seem to have much urgency in getting this done.

If Pruitt has his OC, his urgency is where it needs to be which is Recruiting.....If he has to recruit against an OC named then he might as well not be the coach...IOW, Come to Tennessee to play for what you see and we will take care of the rest (OC).

According to this article, Pruitt is doing like Propst's does by interviewing for future possibilities. I can see the logic and I hope that is the case. Maybe he does already have his man and is interviewing to see if in the future he might want to work with one of these guys. I'm afraid that since Propst's gave him an opportunity at Hoover that he may be returning the favor tomorrow after their state championship game today.

Pruitt's coaching search parallels Propst's interview process philosophy

This. It’s called building your bench. Any savvy HC knows that his staff will be dynamic and needs a strong network of quality coaches to backfill or reach out to for recommendations.

If Tennessee starts performing this will especially be true for our staff as the turn around will be considered a minor miracle.

Again, we need to stop thinking we are smarter than the professionals in charge of this process. All of which have far more experience in coaching than us arm chair QBs.

In the wise words of Stripes we need to “relax Francis.”

IF and I mean IF you believe it's done. You could have a situation where Pruitt thinks he's found the best fit but that coach has something he wants to finish up. You don't move on to the next best guy until the best guy has told you no. Pruitt's timetable and the fans' timetable aren't the same.

They're on again doubling down on what Doug said. The tweets they are getting sound an awful lot like VN. lol

Okay, let me tell you what someone had to remind me of Tuesday when I was saying the same type of stuff you are.

Paraphrasing:

This is a football message board forum. It was specifically created for discussing football including opinions on a current football coaching search. Of you don't want to talk about the football coaching search on this Football message board forum, fine, but don't tell me not to and then ask some of the same questions everybody else is asking.
I understand the concept. What I don't understand is all the negative BS and the idea that we are entitled to know. Nothing wrong with having a discussion that's actually logical. Some of the theories and vitriol is crazy. We as fans do not control a single thing when it comes to a coordinator coaching search. We can discuss it, agree with it, disagree with it but in the end, it really just doesn't matter. I'm anxious to see who it is also, but I also know that my opinion is like everyone else's "worthless". I'm willing to bet that after he is announced and the backstory comes out everyone (save for a few that will never be happy) will be going "oh ok that makes sense". A whole lot of worry and angst for nothing.

Very true. Maybe you should start a thread on the topic and see if you can get everyone to buy in. I believe you can.
