Except he wasn’t blocked because he was never offered the job. Only person who thinks he was blocked us Basilio. Notice he didn’t get any other top job offers. Fake news
Only people who said High was blocked were the supposed insiders (mostly on here) who have missed everything they’ve stated during this search.

I thought Brice and VQ guys both hinted around at pushback?

Hank I think everyone got it wrong that reported about Hugh being the man and getting getting block. I beginning to think he was never offered and Liberty was always his choice. jmo of course

Him not being offered and not being a candidate is two totally different things. I think once the dust settles on this thing, the details of the break down with freeze will come at somepoint.

Doug Matthews is right. Fulmer told him directly. They have their guy already, their just waiting to announce it. He said he heard that from Fulmer's mouth. He didn't make that up and I doubt Fulmer is lying to him. We'll find out when they're ready to announce it.

Listened to his segment. He doesn't sound like a guy FOS. He is pretty confident in what he is saying.

Liked what he said when asked about interviews. He said Fulmer, Ken Donahue and Bear Bryant were really good at this. They would talk to as many people as they could even if no intentions of hiring them if they were offenses or defenses they wanted to learn more about. He said Bear Bryant would call it the 20/80 rule. I'll give you 20 but you give me 80. You get the guy on whiteboard and he gets on a roll telling you all about his offense or defense. It was very interesting segment.

Hubbs is saying on VQ that Freeze is the number 1 guy, but the deal isn't done. If Freeze isn't hired, it's because someone in the administration did not allow it.
"If Tennessee doesn't get it done, there's a very good chance that Freeze is at AU or Bama and TN goes back to the beginning." "This isn't Pruitt dragging his feet, its people above him" -Low
🤔

Totally agree with that and sure will be interesting to see what really happened. Its got me wondering if he ever was a candidate.

Which is why Pruitt traveled TO these people so as not to waste their time.

Somebody at VQ has a source that is the poor old accounting lady who is just confirming what Pruitt’s expense report says about his travels 😂😂😂

So you don’t think freeze was ever even a candidate for the OC job?
I think Pruitt talked to him once. I don’t think he was offered or even close to the front runner for the position. No. Again, why is he at Liberty? All that noise that FSU and Bama wanted him! That all came from his camp. He’s a liberty. All we know is that he talked to him once. That’s it.

Freeze got blocked (probably for good reason).
Briles didn’t jive
Lebby is unqualified
Sounds like the only one that actually said no may have been Yurcich.
On to the next one.

I think stuff popped up from his background in Memphis that scared off big time programs. Nobody cares who the coach is at liberty.

Yes. Fulmer has told him they know who they’re hiring and there’s no reason to worry. Why would Doug lie? He wouldn’t. Fulmer isn’t going to lie to him either. They know who it is. We’re just waiting on them to announce it.

I hope you’re right man but that’s just really hard to believe. Too many people like coaches and agents talk for it to be this quite. Hell even Schiano was at least getting name dropped.

Exactly. Nobody offered him the job. Which is why it wasn’t blocked. He’s a liberty because he couldn’t get a better gig other than OC in the AAF
