How about Rush Propst?

According to NCAA bylaw 11.4, Rush Probst is ineligible for employment at UT as a football coach until 2020. Tennessee signed (4 star) J.J. Peterson from Colquitt County in 2018.

So, he's out at least 1 more year - unless Tennessee signs other players from Colquitt between now and then.

That's only if he is hired for an off the field role. If he is hired to be an on the field assistant than that doesn't apply.

Dude? Read the damn bylaw YOU quoted! It specifically specifies NON-COACHING positions as well as S&C as the disqualifying jobs. After you finish reading, turn off the lights and kindly scoot your Gator ass back to Bama.

You're right it does say that, but Propbst was quoted here stating that was the reason he wasn't immediately hired on Pruitt's staff when he got the job:

Why Rush Propst didn't join Tennessee coaching staff

Unless they were planning on hiring him as a "specialist" or something?

Geez you guys spinning Rush, " he might be a good hire" Right, and he might be a total bust and we'll be an even bigger joke than we currently are, if that's possible. A first time HC with a high school OC, who is an old hot head. I can just see those stud players lining up to come join the Big Orange experiment. Good Lord.

Everyone was on board with bringing Freeze on with his past, I guess because he would have been a splash hire. I know nothing about Propst's past, but based on above comments, he has a problem with the ladies as well. It's not a good look bringing up the past of a person, just because they may not be the hire you want.... only using it as a reason to justify not wanting him.

While I agree with you if we hire him his past could be brought up by another teams fanbase. Look what happened to Kyler Murray right after winning the Heisman. You know some Alabama fan was just sitting on that old info just waiting. I thought it was foolish to bring that up about a kids tweet when they were 14 but unfortunately some azzhats thrive in that kind of stuff.

Have no idea if you're that bottom of the barrel why you don't just promote George Quarles from Furman to offensive coordinator. At least he ran a college offense at some point in the past ever.

I started a thread about Quarles a week ago. For some reason it got sent to the ozone file.
