With the exception of UCF, it’s just the same teams it always is with a couple that had already been eliminated in de facto playoff games.

Why does everyone feel like UGA deserves another shot to beat Bama? That contest has already been decided on a neutral field. There’s already a lot of fatigue in CFB with most of these teams, I’d rather forego the extra round than to be subjected to more of it, and keep the regular season important.

Yeah. I have no need to see two loss UGA again, or Ohio St that barely got by. I dont even really need to see OU with their no defense or ND with the 5 or 6 point victories against Pitt and Ball St. Just needs to be Bama and Clemson and get it over with.

Nobody should be left out. People feel like there's legitimately 7 teams this year for the playoff. The problem with that thinking is that some years there are only 3. Then you get 5 teams that shouldn't be in a playoff that are. And even then, teams 9 and 10 are complaining that they shouldn't have been left out.

Every playoff or tournament is going to have the fringe teams whining about being left out. When they were talking about expanding the NCAAT to 96 teams a few years ago, the only thing it would do is give teams 97-105 reasons to go on the talk show circuit and whine about how they feel like they belong and got shafted.

the reason we wanted 4 was because the BCS formula always left you wondering about 3 and 4. there wasn't always a lot seperating those teams from each other and it wasn't "fair".

so we went to four. but then we changed the criteria for determining the 4.

i think we would have probably been fine had we just kept hte BCS formula, play the top 4 and let that be that.

Games that didn’t matter before after you were “eliminated” now matter. A number of teams in the past got a second loss early but were maybe the best team in the country by the end of the season. Carson Palmer’s USC team for example. Also eliminates regional bias and resentment. This would be exciting.

I'm not an insider and made absolutely sure everyone knows that. But if I hear/read anything, anywhere, I bring it here. Doesn't have a damn thing to do with credit or likes.

We're a group, borderline family at times. They share with me and I will always return the favor no matter how much or little I can.

I think the basis for the 8 team playoff is all 5 P5 champs get an automatic berth. I could be wrong, but that's the idea of most people that want the expanded playoff.
