Pruitt is demanding and wants things done a certain way. He has a strong personality and he's a new HC. There are certain dynamics already in place at UT. That's why fit is so important. Not everyone is going to mesh with Pruitt's personality or the group dynamic. One-and-done coordinators set us back. We need harmony and stability for a rebuild, and if Pruitt doesn't hire someone who can provide that, we'll be going through this again next year. That will be even more detrimental.
One thing to remember about Basilio, he dogged Barnes as over the hill and just using the UT job as a means to retirement. He wanted him run out of town because he couldn't recruit 5 star players. Listening to him now makes me think he would eat a bowl of Barnes' sh^t, if Barnes put it in front of him.Basilio thinks Fulmer is blocking all of Pruitts candidates and making the hire himself. He’s a loon
OfcI really wish it could have worked out with Helton, at least for another year. If Pruitt has decided he wants to spread it out with four receivers, Helton could have done that. And it'd be easier to sign those elite receivers if we had an OC. We have some offensive targets scheduled to be on campus this weekend.
Dammit hank now im even more depressed than usual. I might be over thinking it but in this EXTREMELY volatile situation maybe it would have been better to hire an established veteran coach to smooth out the program, and not a brand new HC that is by most accounts difficult to get along with.
Nobody wants us.

me too but i like the airraid spread to run philosophies of Longo and Briles even better, Longo has put up 8,000 yards in a season and 1275 plays. Briles has rushed for 645 in a game so i like where its goingLeach was everything we needed in a coach. Honestly the days of having by far the best roster in the sec are done. He wouldve been the most creative and just being at Tennessee could pull good enough recruiting classes we have us around 10 wins year in and year out. I really believe that.
Can't help but wonder where we would be today with Mullen.
I’m amazed people are so surprised. If you polled a majority of OC’s out there—no shock but they are want to go where playmakers are—can’t make chicken s out of chicken salad ya’ll. Pruitt has to make this job attractive by recruiting playmakers on the roster—just not enough talent to entice a better OC. Money only goes so far.
