Or, maybe there's agreement between UT and new coach to keep a lid on it until such time they can announce their intention to leave to their current employer. That is very customary, and professional, when a coaches season is not over, and an ill times announcement could be damaging. That's why they don't have high school kids making these decisions, or spend any thought on consulting all of us throughout the process. Approximately 99.9% of the posters in these threads have no clue about vision, direction, culture, staff relationships, etc.

Huh? What would a possible agreement with a new employer have to do with morals, other than keeping said commitment. It would be of an ethical business decision. I would think that quite a few have morals regardless.

Yeah I think WAY to much is being made over the OC hire as far as recruits go. Maybe one or two have a decisional interest in this hire but I don't think its a game changer for most recruits. I think it matters more the relationship they have with the HC mostly. Now that is just an opinion out of my onion head so TIFWIW

I believe that would be incorrect according to the RF. He did visit USCe but UT still reported to be the favorite. And talk that he doesn’t take his visit to aTm and winds up in Knoxville. But who knows since we are in full meltdown mode on VN now, so it’s probably not true.

Pruitt has to be at least smart enough to know this OC hire is going to have everything to do
with his success or failure at Tennessee and will determine how long OR SHORT of a time
he will be here.

he has talked with Kiffin about this probably more than once and its more than likely Kiffin has
been lobbying him hard to hire Briles.
if Pruitt ignores that advice, he will make a huge mistake.
