I just noticed you actually did answer me. I didn't see it? I saw the first line on the top of your post but didnt notice all the stuff you wrote beneath it. Don't know how I missed that.

my statement was based on there being a Pruitt-Kiffin-Briles nexus. Kiffin has publically stated in a
radio interview that he has spoken with Briles giving him all the positive reasons why he should come to Tennessee and its well known that Pruitt and Kiffin are friends and talk fairly often and its a safe bet they have discussed the OC situation. with Kiffin lobbying P:ruitt to hire Briles. Kiffin said he would love to see Briles calling plays for the Vols next year and he would be very successful.

Art Briles is starting to make sense. Wait until after signing day to blunt the fake news critics who won't bother to mention that the man did nothing wrong and walk away with the best OC in cfb.

You keep forgetting to use blue font.

You'd have a better chance of winning the lottery than Art Briles being hired at Tennessee.

Kiffin & Pruitt connection seems to give Briles possiblity more legs... could see a lot of shuffling in our staff; might be why it's taken this long.

Briles as OC wants his own guy for OL, shifting Friend to RBs coach, Lebby for QBs and where does Weinke land? Or maybe Weinke is looking and we've not been made aware...

2 weeks ago I was convinced it would be. Now, I just don't believe they would wait this long if it was.

If you really believe its Friend, what do you believe is the reason they haven't announced it yet?

They know it will be an underwhelming and unpopular hire, wait until after the early signing period to announce.

I can't think of another logical reason why the search is dragging on so long. The theory that the hire is coaching in a bowl game, the playoffs or the NFL so they can't announce is just ludicrous.
