Does anybody really think one of the best defensive minds in CFB would go after an OC who is "predictable, can't develop QBs, 3 runs and punt, can't win close games, yada yada yada *disgruntled fan continues to be disgruntled*"...

Let me tell ya...

Generally speaking, my checklist goes like this.

1. Have you actually been the primary OC for a Division 1 program?

2. Did you score tons of points in more than a single season?

3. Was this program a Power 5 Conference program?

4. Did you have top 10 talent in the nation, or was this done with less than top talent?

5. Are you a snake in the grass?

From this point, if answers are in line, style of offense is a lesser point I can support.

Yea if that’s true. And honestly if it is...and you consider you just paid 1.2 for Helton... 1.35 is really a bargain for someone with his background.

Don’t think he’s worth that much being unproven in the SEC honestly but here is for a good laugh if you notice it.

He can't get another TD to win after the D gives up 50 points.
Seriously all the complaints from that fan could be attributed to the HC and I think the can't win the close games / big games definitely falls on the HC. And if a 40pt offense has a couple 3 runs and punts I'm okay with it.

Yeah, but they like their head coach so they can't blame him. Hopefully they have complained enough that he is ready to leave.

One of these four coaches leads the pack when it comes to over-performing given his roster, and he also has never been remotely close to being connected to a major scandal.

I liked it then and I like it now!

Pruitt has waited this long to make the announcement. If Coach Mathews is correct, and an OC is chosen, he will probably wait until the end of next weekend.

CJP of all people should know what offense will be successful in the SEC. if they’re ponying more than Helton made then cant complain about the desire to win.
