Well, the texts from Briles to your buddy, or your neighbor, or to whoever didn't get us far, so...had to turn our attention elsewhere. šŸ˜‰

Ha! Yeah, Brice was in Phoenix all weekend so he couldn’t get anything out of him. Although the one text he did send was quiet telling. When he left town everyone was high on Briles but not sure what happened over the weekend..

I am getting pretty pessimistic about football myself. Thought these guys were elite recruiters. After this season with a couple of good wins but some real bad losses, not convinced on field yet. If we don’t finish top 10 and lose some we think we are getting and then finish out of top 15, then my hopes for a turn around will take a big hit. Here’s the worse part, if CJP can’t get it done then I think we will be a second tier program for the foreseeable future. Like InVol, starting to believe this was way worse than even Pruitt thought it would be and a heck of a task for a brand new guy. Need to give him enough time to change it because if he’s fired before year 5, no one else worth a crap will even want to try.
I also believe tha JP can right the ship, if he can develop the lesser talent that he does get these first few classes enough to get us over the SC Mizzou UK Vandy hump and winning 8-9 games consistently.. I just don't think the fanbase will hang in there with him long enough to get past the ugly part, my accidental foray into a FF thread this morning just cemented that thought.

IMO that is our best and only hope for a brighter and better future for the UT football program..patience..it is of absolute critical importance, and I don't think we have it in us...me included. It is just really hard to have it by this point. We may be our worst enemy.

I mean from the other guys stand point. Like how does no one see them in high school or college and be like.. this dude can play.
I have a theory that there are probably enough hs players that are talented enough to make it in the NFL, that we could flip the roster of every team. But because of whatever reason, location, being on a bad team, bad luck, whatever, they never get "discovered" during college recruitment. I think technology is shrinking the numbers on that these days, but I still think there are plenty that are just never found.

We may not hire an OC, but with a solid week, I may finally pass the 1:1 post to like ratio again, after the notorious ā€œlikeā€ heist which occurred in the dark hours of the 2018 Volnation Forum upgrade of 2018.

If you were robbed of the dopamine inducing results of a timely placed GIF or intelligent arranging of letters into coherent words, gimme a ā€œlikeā€ on this post
I got horse f'd on that deal too

Before I go to bed, I will say that I don't think it's Yurcich. I don't get why he would leave OSU. I absolutely hope that this is just BVS and I am wrong. I will just say I will believe it when I see it.

Right there with you buddy. I had about 400 more likes than posts, then one day got on here, and was like...

Was just talking about this myself. Thielen is the best example — played (redshirted freshman year) at Minnesota State-Mankato, then worked his way onto the Vikings practice squad, eventually made his way onto the active roster and now he’s breaking Randy Moss’s records. Just crazy.

Or even like Tom Brady getting drafted in the 7th round. How did all 32 front offices pass on him six times before the Pats were finally like, ā€œScrew it — we’ll give this guy a shotā€?
