So with Murphy, Williams, Byrd, Tillman, Johnson, Palmer, Gray, Keyton, and possibly another Freshman receiver and all the other receivers we have that I didn’t mention, I believe we would be okay without Jennings and Calloway.

All of those WRs you mentioned (edit: minus Palmer) combined for 307 yards last year. Gray doesn't look anywhere close to touching the field in anything other than STs capacities. Johnson isn't any faster or more explosive than Jennings or Calloway and it wouldn't be surprising to see him leave next year.

Being ok without Calloway and Jennings and being better off without them are two different arguments. In your OP you said you want them to declare and implied we're better off without them.

Hard to see any sense in that. It's not like Jennings and Calloway have been taking PT from a bunch of All-SEC WRs or anything.

I think that is how that line goes iirc, I am and have been pretty sure everybody is way overthinking that Ghostbusters reference by AV..I'm pretty sure he was just saying the choice was made and used a cool line from that movie...

I also think that choice didn't work out, but I'm not going to argue about it. I'm going to try and go about things differently than I have before. I do admit that I have a really pessimistic feeling about the future of the program, but I love the Vols, and I guess I always will, and so here I am and here I'll stay.

I think from now on I will just say what I feel when I feel compelled to do so without the endless beating of the proverbial deceased equine and hateful responses. I ask everyone that I have offended and have been ugly towards (even the trolls that infest VN) to please forgive me. Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich named in connection with Akron job

Attached lists him as a possible candidate for Akron HC. He turned down an interview with Kent State last year. Would have to take a pay cut as MAC HC. Currently makes $800k.

I agree with you on the Ghostbusters reference. Also, while you have been negative about certain aspects, I thought most of your responses were well thought out and coming from a good place.

Besides, you're a piece of cake compared to everyone else in here the past few days.

I tried, but there are some guys in the Pub that do a pretty good weather thread, and I just couldn't keep from peeking in here. I did accidentally open a thread in the FF this morning...that was awful.

I am getting pretty pessimistic about football myself. Thought these guys were elite recruiters. After this season with a couple of good wins but some real bad losses, not convinced on field yet. If we don’t finish top 10 and lose some we think we are getting and then finish out of top 15, then my hopes for a turn around will take a big hit. Here’s the worse part, if CJP can’t get it done then I think we will be a second tier program for the foreseeable future. Like InVol, starting to believe this was way worse than even Pruitt thought it would be and a heck of a task for a brand new guy. Need to give him enough time to change it because if he’s fired before year 5, no one else worth a crap will even want to try.

This was far worse than we could’ve imagined. We didn’t even have an ALL-SEC player and Vandy and UK did. Our roster is . It will take 3 classes to flip it.
