I know not to crap in my pants when I get down with a good team. Big thing I saw is they never stopped playing hard and playing defense. Sometimes shots don’t fall but shot selection was good. You will have bad stretches and other teams that good have runs. That was a well played game and you can never go full Catbone and be able to defend it.
I guarantee you Barnes was telling them to get the ball inside. When I posted that all we were doing was settling for jump shots. Critisizing the fact that they were settling is not crapping your pants. It's showing concern. You saying that makes you sound like McGill. 😂

OK, true talk.
Before, when we were talking Freeze or Briles, we basically said Yurcich was Briles without a good run game.
Liking everything else I've heard but are we gonna acknowledge that was a real concern?
I certainly do, if u notice on zone reads Yurcich does the familiar qb and rb running in opposite directions, Briles used offshoot of veer where they run in same direction, plus real wide splits and massive OL

Jacket called me out for saying we were settling for jump shots and I didn't like Barnes substitutions.

Naw, just quoted you cause you were the last one I read and knew you could take it. It is silly how we have so many who quit on team at first sign of some things going against us. We were settling but the subs were something you had to do with turner sitting and he played the long game. This isn’t the football team where the players fold at first time of trouble. I feel confident in this team and coach. Ain’t gonna worry about them being down in a game as long as still in striking distance. Yall need and deserve to be able to enjoy it more. It was a clever use of alliteration you must admit.

AV already said he posted the ghostbusters thing when there was “a lot of misinformation being spread” and he’d talk about when the search is over.

Basically saying it turned out not to be who he was referencing. What am I missing here
He said he would discuss the traveler has come comment and how it played into the search when this was over. In the next sentence he said there was a lot of misinformation as it relates to Freeze in the process.

If you watched that YouTube clip that was posted a page or two ago, he at least says the right things about the run game. Lack of one at OSU may be due to talent and not due to him not wanting to run. Just a guess, but yeah, it does concern me some.

If Pruitt is seriously pursuing an OC such as Yurcich, Briles etc and he has supposedly been picking brains on such, maybe this is him not only thinking outside of "what his idea of an offense should look like" box, but also that he sees this as a weakness in his abilities as a DC.

What better way to learn to defend it than to have to face it everyday. This seems to me like Pruitt is opening his mind up and has made notes on these things as the season played out.

I havent bought for one second that him and Fulmer have went into this OC blindly and are aimlessly trying to make a hire. There are some of the best football minds in the business about to get this deal done. They know what they want and will get what they want. I also like the fact that JP and Fulmer dont seem to give two squirts about fans going ballistic over this. Just some worthless thoughts from me. Carry on.

McGill would’ve called em all sons a butches

I wondered the same about talent.
We've definitely adjusted some of our calls on occasion for the same reason imo.

Shut up McGill.

I passed by OKST stadium about 4 years ago on the road
I went to OSU for a semester. I was there when the BB team's airplane went down. I really like the school and the campus. They have all that big alumni money and make use of it. That being said, Stillwater is not a great town.

Based on the candidates confirmed to have been interviewed, it certainly looks as if Pruitt wants to open things up on offense.

The passing game is definitely the strength of his offense, but the lack of rushing is a bit exaggerated imo.

OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY RANKINGS (Tempo/SOS adjusted)

His rushing attack has consistently gotten better over the past few years, this year's ranking was second in the Big XII behind Oklahoma, and just one spot behind Briles at Houston.

SEC teams for reference:
Alabama - 5
Miss St - 6
Georgia - 7
Ole Miss - 16
Missouri - 22
Texas A&M - 23
Florida - 33
Vanderbilt - 41
Kentucky - 52
USCe - 72
LSU - 77
Auburn - 82
Arkansas - 85
Tennessee - 102

EDIT: Also gonna note, his rushing efficiency would've been solidly middle of the pack in the SEC, despite having a far less talented roster than some on that list. Worth mentioning.
