? I’m not saying cops are worthless but how many crimes are prevented by police? They are usually there to take names and collect evidence after the fact.I've had police do me a lot of solids over the years. If we didn't have them, it would be a blood bath and it wouldn't be the poor and downtrodden who come out on top.
I’ve seen both types. Bad and good. Yes and Barney fife. Broke down my back door , I’m standing there 9 months pregnant, at 3 am, and asks me if I’m having a heart attack. Well, I think I’m actually in labor now, what’s the address you are looking for... well that’s across the street Mike, you might wanna check there. Had to go to village council to get my back door paid for.I've had police do me a lot of solids over the years. Similar thing happened to my mom. She disconnected her landline and they must have assigned the number to someone else. That person called 911 to say someone was breaking in and it showed my moms address. No idea why they didn’t confirm it. She said she woke up at 2am to a guy trying to open her front door, then moving to the side door and trying that one. Never announced themselves. She had her .38 and called 911 to report a break in. Took them awhile to put two and two together. Who knows what happened to the person that actually needed the cops.I’ve seen both types. Bad and good. Yes and Barney fife. And that justifies them going after pit bull owners and weed smokers? Drivers with tinted windows and busted taillights?I've had police do me a lot of solids over the years. If we didn't have them, it would be a blood bath and it wouldn't be the poor and downtrodden who come out on top.
Here's the thing. I'm not the kind of person who gets crosswise with authority. If my taillight is out, I expect to get checked and I'm going to be respectful and put the officer at ease if that happens. I've actually have police follow me home to make sure I got home safe when they could've given me a DUI all because I behave like a decent human being. I guess the first amendment gives me a right to act like an ass 24/7 but the old first amendment doesn't do you much good when it's you and someone you've just pissed off in a dark place with no witnesses. And that justifies them going after pit bull owners and weed smokers? See, you can't on the one hand argue that cops are so vital to the stability of our republic, yet then turn around and defend cops trifling in matters so trivial as reefer, pit bulls and busted taillights.

The guy across the street died from his MI. Considering what I knew of his health I don’t think they were gonna save him.Similar thing happened to my mom.
