Maybe CPF is telling him this because they have a verbal agreement and he feels confident enough to tell DM. But the contract hasn't been signed so they don't want to go public yet. To me that's a scary scenario; I want it signed, sealed, and delivered.

If Fulmer told Matthews that, it was on purpose so that word would leak out and everyone would calm down, at least a little. He knows Doug has several spots on the radio and even 2 shows he does. There’s no way he expected him to sit on that info. There was a reason behind it.

Pruitt needs an experienced play caller, someone with a P5 conference background, a creative offensive scheme with a propensity to put up a ton of points whether it’s rushing or passing as well as a good understanding as to how to attack defenses. Not just the ability, but can recognize weaknesses and exploit them.

Add all of those things together and see who fits that description and we’ve got a pretty clear picture of who it is. I can’t imagine him taking a flier on someone who DOESNT fit that description knowing the next 2 years are vital to his success and tenure here.
