He can't win enough there to prove that imo
He wanted to be considered for the UT HC job and couldn’t land the Georgia Southern gig. He’s obviously not going to go the HS route and has failed as an OC. So career position coach who’s a very good recruiter is a pretty good career since he won’t take on a challenge.

so basically the argument is that Tee is not as good of a coach as healy if he should not, in fact, take the job for the reasons y'all are enumerating

If he is just as good a Healy he won't be able make that same jump. 5-6 years wont have the same buzz the next time. Nor will
8-4

If Doug Matthews is correct, then these "interviews" have been pick the brain sessions. It would make some sense. We had trouble with these offenses this yr. their names being out there allows them to get up their price to other schools.

It seems far fetched to me but Doug isn't the type to go this far with something. At the same time we all did find it strange that everyone he was talking to was uptempo
Call me naive, but I don’t think college coaches take time out of their busy recruiting schedule to travel and have their “brains picked” this close to signing day.

I just read where Tee was getting heavy interest from Austin Peay for their HC and he declined to even talk to them ....lol...this dude really thinks his s*** don't stink.
And yet we have fans wanting to interview him for our OC, not going happen he's where his wife wants him to be.

At least Tee is aware he is overrated as a coach. He knows he would fail at Austin Peay. He has to go somewhere that he can win with Jimmys and Joe's because his X and Os is lacking
All coaches fail at Austin Peay. Healy has been the biggest coach name out of Peay and his winning percentage at Peay is 38%. That’s the whole point.

They don't. This isn't the time of year for that

Now I think possible those meeting never happened

Wasn't Cooter' s situation where he was drunk and climbed through the window thinking it was his house?

Earlier this year in Dallas, a police officer shot and killed a man. The man lived directly above the police officers apartment and her defense was that she thought she was entering her own apartment and encountered a burglar. She was initially charged with manslaughter but has now been charged with murder. The Cooter situation could have turned out much worse :):)

We’re talking about why Tee should or should not take the Austin Peay job. How is it not about thT then? Are you saying Tee has no desire to be a top name for a HC one day?
Not if he doesn’t start at a lower rung. Why exactly would an established program hand over the keys?

The oc going to Maryland isnt a distraction but the qb coach to TN is?

Very different however it's still a distraction.

Most players understand a coach taking a HC job but jumping from one school to another just to be an assistant is more of ? Mark for a lot of players

You mean Cooter's situation could have turned out much worse?

So Price, Hubbs, Simonton, and the rest are wrong regatding these interviews with 3 candidates on Friday? Mathews right all along? Smokescreen? Doubtful. I am going to stick with the VQ guys.
Matthews and Fulmer are pretty tight. I would pay attention to Matthews before everyone else in the media.

So basically, it should be open because you want it to be public. Ok

Ah I see, you like to peruse VN looking things to nitpick about while trying to appear to have the universities best interest in mind.

Attention RF: if you happen to see @Ace post ANYTHING about the OC search, make sure you remind him that it’s none of his business. He only cares about the good of the entire program. Smh...

If Enos is coming here does that mean Saban passed on Enos as Bamas OC? Any chance Enos is choosing TN over Bama hence the reason for the misdirection/ no announcement?

How? They hired him didn’t they? That was my point. He had to jump now because he had already regressed from the season which had gained him interest as the hot, rising star. Another season such as 2018, and even a new program such as CHARLOTTE is most likely no longer interested.
I don’t understand your post. Especially the first two sentences. Healy is a first time HC who took over a horrid program and won 8 in his SECOND season and “regressed” to 5 in his THIRD. When did he have time?

Fulmer was never HC at a lower rung program. Saban? Cutcliff? Kirby? Mush amp?

How does not going the route of a lower rung school define no interest in becoming a HC at a power 5 school?
