Is he much of a recruiter though?
He's ranked 48 in the SEC and the only Alabama coaches below him are defensive line and special team coordinator.
Doesn't seem like getting him out there would be a huge deal.

Again.... I did not want Schiano because he would be a bad fit at TN for many reasons including he was Butch 2.0, a Haslam pick, worked with CUM, etc. I threw a righteous fit because they told us they were going to get us the best available coach when they knew this is what they were getting. And to top it off the face of our program was going to bring the baggage of people wondering how much he knew about the worst scandal in college football history. Difference with Briles is he is NOT the head football coach, he has already been tried by the media and universities and gone on to 2 different universities. Not the best choice but his baggage is less and at least he is worth his baggage.

You still want prospective players to see and meet who they’ll be playing for.

If there's no hold up in announcing Enos it doesn't make sense that he's sitting on this that long. I'm sure Enos knew Bama was going to be in the market and knew where he stood in regards early on.

The hold up may be Enos bolting right after the OC.

Matthews said again this morning that fulmer told him the hire has already been made but that they’re waiting to announce it. He isn’t sure why, but could be they’re working out contract details or could be he is still coaching and they’re negotiating buyout, but it isn’t 95%, it’s done according to Matthews

You are saying he should not be allowed to coach at the University of Tennessee because of assumptions. There are no facts to back your poor opinion of him. He is guilty of no crime, therefore, nothing should hinder him from being hired by UT unless his resume' doesn't fit the bill.

you can't be serious. Every single hire, or choice to not hire, at any job is based on assumptions. Assumptions about character, assumptions about work ethic, assumptions about fit, assumptions about performance. And all of those assumptions are affected by what the hiring authority can learn about the past. Rarely are those decisions made based exclusively on facts. You really are naïve if you think assumptions don't matter.

It would be very weird for Enos to be essentially hired but they not announcing anything. Pruitt better not delay an announcement to help Alabama. We need momentum on the recruiting trail and ESD is approaching and we have no official OC at this point

If so he better not be recruiting for bama. That would be totally not allowed if he or Pruitt want to coach for the VOLS and no way would Fulmer allow that to happen.

I understand there could be reasons to hold off on an announcement. But I don’t think they’d just be going around interviewing candidates for fun if it were a done deal.

News elsewhere

Bentley turned down Auburn. Apparently gus is now only looking for a QB coach. He plans to take over play calling.

Ole miss appears to be down to McIntyre and Golding as D.C. Saban will likely find way to keep Golding.

If you're referring to my post, that was a joke.
But even if it wasn't, it really doesn't matter if it's announced or not except to fams or media. For recruits you just need the ability to tell them a name.

Don't need it to be public to do that
