I agree. Some possible reasons.I have to at this point think the search is over. But that seems strange.
Why not announce it?
But it feels like the AD and coach know who they have and are on to other things.
Strange
Has made the most sense. But for Matthews to say contract is done but no announcememt makes less sense. Here’s what I’ll say: when Doug Matthews dropped that 95% line I got a text shortly afterwards that said there’s a lot of smoke around Enos. Obviously I cannot validate the accuracy but I have no reason to doubt it at this point.
So now Matthews is sticking to his guns even though nothing has been announced nearly a week after his first statement. What do we do with that information?
I think it’s possible we decided on Enos around the same time Alabama also found out that Locksley was leaving. That obviously puts us in an unfavorable position - and as such we have covered our bases and continued to interview other candidates. Is it possible that we’re currently in a bidding war for Enos or waiting on his decision? Sure it is - and makes sense given that Alabama has not officially announced him as Locksley’s replacement.
So what's your take? Is Mathews wrong/misleading? Is there an end to this in the foreseeable future?
So you think there may be a handshake agreement and are just waiting for a deal to be finalized?I think we're either in a holding pattern with someone or Pruitt is still pondering. IDT UT is masterminding a disinformation campaign. UT would love to have the OC hire finalized and the staff stabilized to reassure recruits that the program is in strong hands and on the rise. If Pruitt has decided and UT can reach an agreement in principle, we will-- and quickly.
Crazy how Tee was the QB of our national title team but gets treated like he lead the game winning drive for our rival. Tee was smart for not coaching under CBJ. Some posters seem seem to have a personal agenda against Tee. I wonder whyLook at his wonderlic score. Shouldn’t surprise anyone he is not a great X’s and O’s Guy
If "seem" is your standard you're going to see what you want to see in this world. Not Joining Butch is one wise thing I've seen Tee do, I'll give you thatCrazy how Tee was the QB of our national title team but gets treated like he lead the game winning drive for our rival. She has every reason in the world to bitter and hate everything about college sports and yet she doesn't. That woman is made of equal parts steel and forgiveness. You won't see me casting a stone against her. She's the most understanding victim of any crime that I've ever heard speak. It's clear when speaks that while what happened to her motivates her and harmed her a great deal, what she's doing now is all about preventing it from happening to other people and empowering those who can stop it. I love everything about the work she does. We need a thousand more of her.
I don't like to get theological on here but to me she embodies what forgiveness is all about -- even the part that those that are in the wrong (like Riley) have to be a willing participant in the forgiveness by acknowledging that they have done wrong. But when everyone meets on those terms it's amazing.
Agree. Failure is not a justification for giving up though. I’d suspect he keeps at it too.Tee was attempting to follow that route, be a very successful coordinator at a big time program, get promoted or take a big job elsewhere after being successful.
Tee just left out the successful part.. he had a great shot at USC, really great opportunity
