I wouldn’t want to be in Pruitt’s shoes right now, tough call this early in his HC career.

Rookie HC. I'm sure he's feeling the pressure. And if he ends up rejiggling the staff and bringing in some low-key guys he has worked with before and is comfortable with, there are going to be some unhappy people out there.

Pruitt has the autonomy to speak with people at his own discretion. But talking isn't hiring. Freeze has had multiple allegations and accusations against him everywhere he's been. Trouble follows the schools that hire him. Sankey discouraged SEC schools from hiring Freeze. And Fulmer doesn't like Freeze. The ex-Baylor AD was the perfect person to hire Freeze and champion his rehab.

This pretty much backs up what Freeze hinted at while on Finebaum yesterday.

Maybe its silly but i feel like if we could've beaten or even stayed close to Vandy our last game we wouldn't have started seeing recruiting troubles and a difficult time getting an OC. Just an awful way to end the season.

Nearly errybody quit, tho. And the offensive playcaller(s) were clearly not trying, imo.

It wouldnt be my first pick, or even my 6th or 7th; but, I trust Pruitt has forgotten more football than I will ever know, and will make the best hire he possibly can make to give him what he cares about most, and that's winning.

It's been refreshing, trusting the process this time around. For 10 years, I didn't trust them to hire a good janitor, much less a good coach. With Pruitt and Fulmer, and WITH TIME, there is not a doubt in my mind they will make us a top 5 program...of that, I am fully confident. I checked out when they hired Dooley, paid a little attention during Butch, until I saw, quickly, what he was...and now I'm comfortable and totally fine with being patient just a little longer.
