Eh, being a fan of college football takes a certain moral flexibility anyway. This isn’t really outside of the scope of that.First, I'm not coming out against Briles, but he did use sex as a recruiting tool. Not a good thing in the current environment. Need to be smarter than that.
Second, if you guys cannot see the similarities between the cases, you're willfully blinding yourself to the truth.
Uh... Schiano was named under oath as being a guy who witnessed CHILD RAPE. Briles told some recruits that white girls like football players. Yeah... That's the same thing.
And again, that was just added onto Schiano. We weren't trock and smearing him over twitter. That was added onto his suckiness making him unhireable. I'm not sure what you're trying to argue for here.
Are you really trying to equate a coach telling players that white women like football players (which most assume is true) with a coach being mentioned in a court of law as knowing that another coach was raping boys on campus? And also comparing a head coaching position to a coordinator where these are concerned? I'm speed reading so I may have missed something. So, nothing but unfounded hearsay against Schiano and actual proof against Kendal, yet you declare the Schiano situation much worse?
As I said, I'm not a Schiano fan, but I'm against tearing down a guy's reputation simply because you don't like him. FTR, though I think Kendal was wrong to use sex as a recruiting tool, I don't see it as something that should keep him out of coaching.

Oh really? Those are just bluntly false accusations
He was never accused of witnessing anything
‘No,’ McQueary replied, according to the documents, ‘only that he had — I can’t remember if it was one night or one morning — but that Greg [Schiano] had come into his office white as a ghost and said he just saw Jerry doing something to a boy in the shower. And that’s it. That’s all he ever told me.’
I am a fan of Shiano but what has Briles been proven to have done?
What has Schiano been proven to have done?
Kendal Briles made his statement about white girls at Baylor liking football players. He was selling sex to recruit. Did that add to the culture of rape at Baylor? I can certainly see how the argument could be made.
I'm not saying it's a fact. You clearly aren't listening to me. He's a crappy coach. He's awful. That's why we didn't want him. The fact that he was mentioned as witnessing the worst scandal in football history under oath made him unhireable. This is not hard.Bass, do you have any understanding of law? What McQeary actuallyn said under oath was that he was told by another person that Schiano knew about Sandusky. It is NOT a fact that Schiano knew something. It is hearsay. No actual proof suggesting Schiano was involved in covering something up exists. People, like you, have just assumed his guilt.
We may have not been the ones painting the Rock or taking to Twitter, but the people who did that were Vol fans, so we all get lumped together.
