I think the first interview has already occurred. I think him coming to campus this afternoon it’s to finalize the deal and be announced. I think this is the one who Matthews said was 95% done. I am guessing the other 5% was to fully vet him and make sure nothing is found that would be harmful to us, as well as finalizing the deal today when he comes to campus. I think tomorrow has finally come today, and we have our OC announced.Hearing KB may be on campus early afternoon.
nothing has really changed except with Pappoe reconfirming his committment to Auburn. everything else is the same.
and really, nothing changed with Pappoe. he was and is still committed to Auburn.
i get the optics of it, and certainly my confidence in flipping him have changed...but it was going to be a flip.
structurally, nothing has changed to the class.
Good point, that area is bad. Don't think it matters though because I doubt we're going to let Fitz go and Maryland can't outbid UT.I’ve been to Maryland/lived there right next to the University for 7 months and no one wants to live in Maryland over Knoxville. Trust me. Especially that portion of Maryland.... it’s a crap hole.
that buzz you're talking about is a little overrrated considering where it's generated and who it's for..........Yes, you make a good point that structurally nothing has changed, but there has definitely been a change in perception/momentum/communication/optimism on flipping/landing some of these higher-tier recruits... There was a buzz and the media were making comments about watch/watch for TN to close strong and be a big factor in several kids, and now silence... there is definitely a different feel in the air than several weeks ago. The confidence has definitely shifted. Hopefully the announcement of a great OC will pump some life back into our recruiting, because is definitely looks like it has stalled a bit.
pruitt may handcuff him to a work out bench. i don't see him allowing Fitz to leave if it ever gets to the point of having to make that decision. this goes in the "cross that bridge if we get to it" category.Fitz loves it here. I don’t see him leaving.
