Uhhh... Time of possession may be a problem in the SEC if it's Briles

2017 @ FAU.... Rushing YPG: 6th.... Passing YPG: 80th.... Time of Possession: 115th

2018 @ Houston.... Rushing YPG: 20th.... Passing YPG: 14th.... Time of Possession: 130th

Already brought this up.

Would be a 180 of what Pruitt said he wanted. Not sure that style would work in the SEC. Could Briles slow things down and adjust? Maybe.

When you average 40 points a game you score pretty fast.

Clemson is 98th in TOP and ND is 84th. Bama is 71st. There’s more than one way to get the store fellas.

I’m not for certain on this. But from what I’ve heard and gathered... i don’t think it’s just one person coming in and being like whoa this isn’t happening.

I think some more stuff was brought forward to fulmer and Pruitt about Hugh’s past. It’s not far fetched to think Houston Nutt could’ve called fulmer or that Fulmer spoke with Current OM coach and former assistant Matt Luke... they all still have a relationship. But either way something came up and i think Pruitt and fulmer agreed to just go in another direction.
That makes sense. Thanks for sharing.

I don't think the TOP issue is as big as some might think, but this year specifically I think it would be. Sure, you might be able to put up some points on offense, but you're gonna be trotting out a thin defense over and over again, so you're gonna give up a ton of points too. I'm not sure Pruitt, being a defensive-minded coach, would be a big fan of that.

Oh for sure. To be clear I'm all for Briles or Yurich. I like them all. Just would be strange to see Pruitt wanting that type of offense because I imagine him valuing a slower offense and a rested defense.

Again those teams don't play the same defense that we will play

Unless I am forgetting one there has only be one fast paced team play in Atlanta and that was auburn.

The fact Gus had to back off that frantic pace is proof it doesn't work in this league

I think Pruitt just wants to win. If that means with a faster paced offense so be it.

Nice avi btw. I don’t think Pruitt is wanting slow ball control. He’s a gunner and aggressive. It goes back to coaching high school I think. All those guys like to be creative and make stuff happen. I dig it.

Or maybe because Gus has no clue how to coach a QB how to throw

What do you mean by the defense comment?

Henry sets franchise record for yards (239) and would certainly get his 5th touchdown on next carry or two but asked to take himself out so Lewis could punch it in. Vrabel wants him to go back in, he won’t.

Narrator: Lewis does not score.
