Exactly. Each may have known about and covered up some pretty sick stuff. Logic tells me there's a better chance of that with KB than with GS. The truth of the matter is many are willing to rationalize this with KB because you think he's an excellent coach whereas you didn't think that with GS. At least a few are honest enough to admit that. I can respect that. I don't agree with you, but I respect it.
Its college football...get used to skeletons or go watch gymanstics!

...oh wait

But I'll add, I trust Fulmer and Pruitt to properly vet him and if they're comfortable with it I trust them.

For me not wanting Schiano had everything to do with the fact that he sucked majorly

Wasn’t a fan of his dad after that mess, but I always respect that coaching mind that refuses to keep itself in a box. Steve Spurrier at his best would throw something at you at any time of the game that you would have no suspicion existed. I remember Peyton’s last game against FL when we started coming back after being down big, and he lined Doug Johnson behind 3 OL in the middle of the field. The other OL and receivers were out wide on either side and the ball was snapped and Johnson sneaked one yard for the first down. Never used it before or since and it was a critical conversion. Chavis was great but you can’t prepare for those types.

word, seems a consistent hallmark of the great ones, especially when momentum is against them, i remember urban at florida calling a fake punt that swung things back in their favor once and thinking thats why we wont win, just had that innate sense of what to do and when to do it. Fulmer on the other hand was gonna run the power iso predictability be damned, and sure enough Jamal is stopped for 1 when we needed 2

I have read up on it. I'm just saying where you all will be regarding Briles' "baggage" when he ultimately is not hired, I'm already there.

Edited because I was too snarky the first time.

In any case, I am a little surprised that this looks to be heading toward Briles because I was afraid that the powers that be would just fire up those baller PR machines we got over there in Knoxville and think that Briles was radioactive. But I basically think Baylor got hammered because they had a couple guys apparently actually commit rape, which poisoned the well for everyone over there. In reality, I don’t think Kendal Briles is any worse than your typical college football coach regarding that type of stuff.

In the Fiesta Bowl, I was sitting at a packed sports bar next to this Vols fan who started spieling around halftime of a competitive game “look here, Osborne is going to make adjustments at halftime and our coaches won’t have an answer.” We know what happened. True story.

was prob me, 31-21 was score i think

Swain on 104.5 scratching his head about why Freeze is a pass but Briles is not. Same as many of us. Sounding like he is near the top of the list.

Swain championing Chaney too and the Fields situation with him not being QB coach.

Expectation - get some Jack Daniels and chillax
