Nobody could have made that shjt show work this yr with 200 lb lineman and unfortunate injuries etc. cast your ballot then when there is something to work with. Till then just relax and enjoy the ride.

That's all I do anytime. But there's 0 reasons why the worst unit on the team should get any coach recognition. They were bad last year and only got worse.

Here's a thought -- recruiting. Maybe finalizing an OC has something to do with when he can recruit. I forget who it is, but we've got another man recruiting while we've got a coach position open. Maybe handing off those recruiting duties is affecting the timing of finalizing the contract.

Basilio is hell-bent on the story that Pruitt wanted Freeze and Fulmer blocked it and now Pruitt is going around talking to big $$$ boosters around the state and telling them that Fulmer is blocking him. If true, it's just a matter of time until Pruitt walks to the next stepping stone.
Bullshi*...

Isn't there another "no-contact" period prior to the early signing day? If so, when does it start?

I admit I haven't listened in years, but Art Bell was a lot of fun back in the day. Late night radio was the perfect format.
I still am a coast to coast listener even after Bell is now gone. There are a few hosts I don't care for but I still enjoy hearing the crazy stuff people talk about on that show.

Pruitt's job is literally to get it right. If he doesn't he may not have a job very long. Would you rather it be rushed to placate impatient hyper sensitive fans(look in the mirror now...I'll wait) or take his time do due diligence and make the best decision for the team moving forward? The only think this reeks of to me is a HC who doesn't let anyone know what or who he is considering until the deal is done. Why not have faith in that and stop blubbering like a toddler who can't wait for his lolly?
Right on, Newt. Nail to head, man.

Another fact is that nearly the same o-line got worse under Friend. Even game 1 against WVU they were horrible.

Now I’m convinced you have no understanding of blocking schemes or anything else that involves the Oline.

Any body can see what Coach Friend was working with and it clearly eluded you.

👍

I’m indifferent on Friend. Our OL had some good games but they missed wayy too many assignments. Still one year is not enough time to fully evaluate him.

It doesn't matter if he's wrong--Basilio's only job is getting people to tune into his show. Sure-fire ways to get more listeners are rumor-mongering and creating controversy, and he excels in both areas.
Which at it's core is a sad indictment on society/culture. People that have that niche in the economic system would have to find something productive to do in society if "customers" were some combination of smarter and/or grounded in reality.

I understand that we could not run the ball and we could not protect the quarterback, even against inferior opponents. Friend is stealing paychecks from the University.

I'm used to Tim's Ford Lake. I'll just ride over there and wait this out.
I grew up fishing that lake for years. Can’t be a very tough like to fish. Usually the best time to go there is when the weather is nasty as all get out.
