Yurcich would be a great get. OK State had to replace Mason Rudolph, James Washington, and ranked 111th in returning starts on the O-Line and still ranked 10th in the nation in total offense. Taylor Cornelius is just a guy at QB, a 5th year senior that had never been able to start before. And they still won shootouts against Texas, WVU and almost OU. I just hope Pruitt gives him free reign to run his offense and we don’t have conflicts with the position coaches like we did with Shoop.

Guys, with all the gloom and doom related to our OC hire, I have a bit of good news, at least it is for me. The PGA Tour of America is relocating their headquarters, from Florida, to my home town of Frisco Texas. That's big for Frisco and it's gonna be less than five miles from my house. They're gonna build 2 championship golf courses, a 500 room Omni hotel, retail shops and a public park on 600 acres. Courses will be open in 2022. They're talking about bringing a Ryder Cup and some PGA Tour events to Frisco. This gonna be big. Now back to football :cool::cool:
Your hometown is unrecognizable from when I arrived here in 95. It’s hefty with the property taxes too with the Star and all the growth.

Why would he leave Athens? He's got a great set of tools there and the toolbox here is fairly empty.
About a month ago, Tim Irwin said that he knows for a fact that Chaney and Pittman would have come here last year and they both love Knoxville. Sounds weird but he definitely isn’t one to throw a rumor like that around, especially when there isn’t a position open. Brice and now Grant Ramey have both mentioned a mystery sitting SEC OC that’s a candidate. People have said that Chaney is upset that he doesn’t get to coach QBs anymore and his contract ends at the end of the month. Put all that together and I think there’s a legitimate shot he could come.

Really love his info

Anyway we can get Oklahoma State info with this stat?

My impression is it's the reason I don't think this marriage can work

Here you go, threw in Yurcich at the bottom.

Interesting. Should bring Pittman back with him and break the bank for them. Pittman the best OL crooter in the nation right now.

I am out on Oklahoma state guy

The more I read about Yurcich the more I like. Only issue is he might be wanting to make the jump to HC soon. He interviewed with Kent State last year, although he did pull his name out after the first interview, and supposedly there are some other smaller schools like CMU this year looking at him. There was an article from August from an OSU site saying don’t count on Yurcich being in Stillwater in 2019 because he will be a hot name for HC jobs. Not sure he would be interested in a lateral move right now with so much interest as an HC candidate, unless he thinks showing his mettle in the SEC will help him land a better power 5 HC job in a couple years.

I just hope Pruitt gives him free reign to run his offense and we don’t have conflicts with the position coaches like we did with Shoop.

That's a pretty big question-- will he want to tinker with Friend's, YAC's, and Nied's positions? I'd hope the hell not, but we did see what a lack of necessary position coaching continuity can cost with Shoop.

I doubt that would be something CJP would budge on, just as my guess. The glaring deficiencies in OkSt's offenses have been sacks and TFLs allowed, and this is a LOS league, completely unlike the Big12. I'd think SEC-bred coaches could help with Yurcich's career, instead of the other way around.

Been trying to figure out where Pruitt/Yurich connection could have come from... in reading on him apparently Saban was interested in him replacing Kiffin. Pruitt was on staff at the time. Yurich passed due to having what ended up being outstanding group on offense coming back. Which leads to is he on Sabans list again if Saban doesn't just promote Enos or get Freeze...
