Elizabeth Warren, Eyeing 2020, Decries Military Overreach

WASHINGTON — Senator Elizabeth Warren inched closer to a likely presidential run Thursday, making a major foreign policy speech that cited the need to rein in “unsustainable and ill-advised military commitments” across the world.

The speech had several policy proposals that are sure to reverberate among other 2020 presidential hopefuls. Ms. Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, called for an end to the war in Afghanistan, a rethinking of American troop deployment abroad, a commitment to a new nuclear posture including increased arms control and a no-first-use policy.

Wary of repeating 2016 mistakes, Democrats prepare to shake up 2020 presidential debate plan

The Democratic National Committee is close to finalizing a 2020 primary debate plan that would give lesser-known candidates a chance to share the same stage as the party’s front-runners, avoiding the two-tier “kiddie table” approach that divided the Republican field in the last presidential campaign.

The GOP is already a fractured party (though not to the extent of the Dems). But if John Kasich gets any traction in 2020, it would highlight just how big of a joke most so-called conservatives are in that party.

Oh I disagree with that. Although I’m sure some don’t , the ones like yourself that “ gobble” down CNN & MSNBC’s true and factual story lines would have no problems being a fluffer for your next liberal candidate if that’s what it took to get Trump out . 😉

Who cares? The political landscape of the US is pure trash. The 2 party system is doing more harm than good. All the 2 sides do is try their best to trash each other. Meanwhile its the citizens that get screwed. Whomever wins in 2020, it will be the same garbage we all have been used to for decades.

Oddsmaker: Trump Strong Favorite To Win Reelection

On GOP side, top candidates are Trump, Pence, then Shapiro. For Dems, they're Harris, O'Rourke and Biden

According to the sportsbook BetOnline, the odds of President Trump being reelected are heavily in his favor. Trump is the only candidate on the list given by the sportsbook where the odds favor his winning the presidency, at 7-5. The next most likely candidates are Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), and current flavor of the month Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) who lost his challenge for Senator Ted Cruz’s Senate seat.

Harris and O’Rourke are followed in the Democratic field by former vice-president Joe Biden, then Senator Bernie Sanders, then Senators Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI).

On the Republican side, President Trump is followed by Vice-President Mike Pence and Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro.

Here’s a list of the top contenders:

Boston Globe: Elizabeth Warren Should Reconsider 2020 Presidential Run

Three years ago, the Boston Globe’s editorial board urged Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) to run for president. Now the board is offering her much different advice: Don’t do it.

In an editorial published Thursday, the Boston Globe said Warren had “missed her moment in 2016” and cast skepticism on how well the progressive Democrat, whose recent public feuding with President Donald Trump boosted her popularity, would perform as a Democratic presidential candidate for the 2020 election.

One Democrat Is Putting Out The Feelers For 2020 In Bernie's Home State

Days after saying he is the most qualified Democrat to run against President Donald Trump in 2020, former Vice President Joe Biden made an appearance in Sen. Bernie Sanders' stomping grounds: Vermont.

Biden appeared at an event to promote his new book “Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose," which goes into details about the loss of his son, Beau, to cancer in 2015.

I think it’s going to be .. Biden , Bernie , Harris

They have to cover the establishment ( Biden) , cover the lefty loons ( Bernie ) and cover the female / minority ( Harris ) . Those will be my pick for the final three . They will eat each other alive just to find one who will go to the meat grinder and run against Trump .

Really do agree... system is broken and seems to me no longer functional. Socialists have no room for capitalist goals. If/when they take full control (very likely coming with the next election), this country is done... just a matter of a few years and we are what they want... Venezuela.

Is Shapiro old enough to run? Those would be some hilarious debates if so.

Bernie or Biden with legitimate chances. I figure the Bern will get his shot this time around. This is only anecdotal, but basically every progressive I know is waiting patiently for him to announce. When that weird article about Hillary running again was floating around, well they threw her right under the bus then pissed on her grave. It was hard to tell the difference between progressives and the Red Hats; pure hate.

Bernie has an economic problem though , he can’t answer the big question ... how do we pay for the grand promises . When he’s pushed on trying to get him to answer , he gets mad . I don’t think his 1%er answer will work either .

He's probably gonna be your Democratic nominee. If the economy is doing well, the Red Hats will put that scumbag in office for another four years. If not, or if the idiot finally does something that is so awful the Red Hats turn on him, well then who knows? Of course he might be in jail by then, or being tried for treason. Hopefully both.

This is why Bernie has no shot. His supporters.
