I would love for Auburn to fall into the abyss. I have no issue with Auburn generally, but after a couple of frustrating blowouts to Bama and a long losing streak they might start dealing out Bama dirt to the NCAA.

Chaney is a not very exciting but a safe hire. Give him some studs at QB and RB (like UGA has) and he will do well. But overall I would be overwhelmed if it was Chaney considering the field that's available (or at least was 10 days ago).

Yea, I don't understand that unless we are just missing something. I stated then that Gus had all of the leverage. I believe Sexton is his agent, too.

i say this knowing Gus and Butch aren't in the same league...but concerning confidence level from fans etc.....they are...........so imagine if you will, that we had signed butch to an extension with a $50M buyout, and how that would fly here.

and the very next year, this (what is happening at AU) happens.

i'm gonna go ahead and say it.

thank God for Auburn. lol.
