I hate to assume to be the voice of reason, but I’ve been through one or two coaching searches on here.

A year ago many of you were pissed that the administration would not/did not do it’s due diligence in the coaching search, and we were loud in protesting that error.

The result of that...er, event...is that we now have AD Fulmer pulling some of the strings. This is a man that bleeds Pantone 151 with every inch of his being. How can you fault this man for wanting to do everything necessary to protect his beloved university?

Let this thing play out. I know we’re sick of feeling like the last ones holding a dance card or -swipe right depending on your age- but this is a big choice, and it needs to be the right one. Yes, I know it’s been a decade of waiting- but just a little patience may unfortunately be necessary, a bad hire here would be quite a setback.

The Briarcrest stuff gives me serious pause- and should most of us. We should at least allow that to be fully investigated.

There are a few solid candidates out there- let’s give Fulmer and Pruitt a chance to make the right move.

If what Doug says is true and considering his Fulmer ties I believe him. Then vq needs to man up and apologize for their "incompetence" claims because clearly the incompetent ones were them in this search in that scenario. Reset button? You don't reset button then in hours have a deal almost done.

How does VQ not put it together that Fulmer was out of town and that being the delay?

That wouldn't be a lateral move, that would be a move down. Currently/historically ND is a better program than ours. They're in the CFP for Christ sake, this is just dumb.

Just my opinion, but I believe Pruitt is in lock step with Fulmer. Don't think many fans understand that working relationship and how close they are. They are in synch on a lot of things in this football program. Lot of mutual respect between the two.
