It does not make it much better that he turned his back. He should not be in the room. Period. Not that hard to understand.

Blasphemy!!!! No on a serious note this is Gruden 2.0, another big name that everyone gets way too excited over and when we hire someone else it will deflate everyone, until people realize it was probably the right move when all the skeletons fall out of the closet

No, but when you have this much media releases that Freeze wants the job, etc etc, if he isn’t your choice, then squash it and be done with it.

Lmao propst, in no way, would energize the fan base as OC. That would be a terrible hire with similar skeletons in the closet. Where the hell is this even coming from?

So the dude that got chased out of his town for having multiple families is the guy we are ok with over the other guys? WTF kind of thinking is this? Also he’s a good high school coach, what a stupidly huge jump to call plays in the SEC.

Also, good lord. There’s OCs that can be successful here that aren’t an alcoholic that got fired for showing up to stuff plastered, a guy that hired hookers on his school phone like a fool, and a guy living a double life.

Agree but it never works like that. There is always leaks whether it is from inside, potential coaches, agents etc. we all thought the same thing that Currie was handling the search beautifully Bc nothing was really coming out and then it turned out it was basically Schiano the whole time.

I'm all for it. He is innovative and knows offense. Let him learn on the job next year(we won't be that great anyway) and then he has Mauer and Bailey to put his system in with and we are off to the races and people are wondering how we found this wunderkind!

Osovet is without a doubt ahead of Propst on the board. No way we fall that low - but then again it is a UT coaching search.

I have a hard time making sense of all this. AV says the decision has been made. Hubbs says Freeze never had an offer. Lindsey goes to Kansas when most thought he was 1b. Enos has been free for a few days now and were not hearing anything there. Drinkwitz was never a serious option (supposedly). Now I hear talks of the QB coach at Clemson or the Oklahoma State OC.

I got to say, if "revving up the PR machine" meant a full-fledged disinformation campaign then our PR people need a big time raise!

That doesn't mean he's not capable though. There are plenty of high school coaches out there who could coach circles around some college coaches.

He's been pretty dominant at that level and Pruitt knows him really well. I'm intrigued if he is. Feels like a long shot though.
