The Culinary Arts Thread

@Behr I think it's VERY rude of you to ignore @Red13.

@Orangeslice13

Ead sissy boy, you're one to call somebody rude for ignoring posts in this thread.

But to be honest, I was watching movies yesterday and NY the time I saw that cake, everyone had already commented and I figured she was already gone. I'm not much of a judge on anything, you have already made that clear, but when it comes to chili and desserts, I agree with you.

Its a beautiful cake tho.

What are you thoughts regarding basil?

Red is a huge fan of basil! Get you some Naan bread, mix one small can of tomato paste and small of sauce, add Italian seasoning plus fresh basil then complete your pizza. I grate my own cheese. They put weird stuff in the shredded cheese bags to keep it from clumping.

@Behr, this is a serious question, so don't be a dick. Oven-fried potatoes...is it a good idea? Any thoughts or recommendations? Seasonings? Process?

I just call it baking them with oil. I use red bliss mostly, but any kind will work, even Idaho bakers. My favorite way is dice them in about 1 inch squares, drizzle them with some good olive oil, salt and pepper, a little cayenne and fresh rosemary. Garnish them with some shaved Parmesan or some type of shredded smoked cheese.

How hot should the oven be? Should I cover with foil at least some of the cooking time? or uncovered?

I got an idea from a friend I'm gonna try tonight. I got some croissant rolls, shaved turkey and roast beef, and cheese. Gonna put the meat and cheese in the rolls and roll them up and bake them. Sounds good in theory.
